"But, I don't let it bother me, Jesus did say people would hate us. "
I agree that we can not let it bother us, but when we are dealing with a well known national and international person like Dr. Weil who is considered among the intellectual elite and as a respectable member of society in whom the media and general population look to for help and information, I think we should hold someone like this accountable for their comments because their words and power of influence is held much higher than most people's. Thus, we really should do something to let such people know that that kind of behavior is still unacceptable. Otherwise, as we are already seeing, it is becoming vastly acceptable. What I have done is 1st alerted Larry King by email that I did not appreciate that comment and in the future I will not watch his show when Dr. Weil is on unless Dr. Weil retracts his statement. 2nd, I don't intend on making Dr. Weil more powerful by purchasing any of his books or products. 3rd, I shared this with other believers on this forum so those who were not aware of Dr. Weil's feelings about Christians will now know, and they can do with that information whatever they like. 4th, I think I will try and find Dr. Weil's email address off his website and let him know personally what I thought of his comments. Of course, people can also pray for him as well. I suppose I will do that too now that I am writing it.
