Drugs and demon possession

Once more than 20 years ago I was watching a possessed man on TV. He kept snarling at the camera and had this "sneer" (which is the only word I could come up with to describe the look) on his face. Since then I have been paying more attention to people and how they look, not their looks, but the look in their eyes. One thing I have noticed is that when a person is on some heavy illegal drugs he or she has the same look on his face that the possessed man had. This got me to wondering if a person on drugs is more easily possessed than a man or woman who is not on drugs.
What do you think?

Drugs alter the brain away from it's normal state.

That fully explains changes in a person while under the influence of drugs. There is no need(and it can be detrimental) to attribute supernatural elements to drug use.

ChristineES yes drugs do alter the chemical balance in the brain. But, yes it is a way for demons to control you, or be influenced. And if you are not truly saved you can be possessed, with your drug use, like crack, opening up a window for demons to step in through and possess your soul.

If the bible tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from us, it's scary to think what happens to those whose resistance has been altered through alcohol and drugs.
The enemy knows when the door is cracked open and he takes full advantage of it too.

The Greek word translated 'sorcery/magic arts' @ the end of Rev 9 is 'pharmakeia' - from which we get pharmacy/pharmaceuticals - that's how prevalent the use of hallucinogens in forbidden occult practices, purposely seeking demon possession as a false 'doorway to perception'

20The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and woodâ€â€idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Demonic possession is a myth, nothing more.
Mat 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

Mat 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

Just what the demons want you to think, then they can slip in and take over. Just that statement alone, tells me they are at work.

What exactly is the definition of demon-possession?

What exactly are the criteria for determining if one is demon-possessed?

What is the solution for alleviating or curing demon possession?

How does one show the existence of a demon inside(?) of a demon-possessed person?

Why is there any need to attribute supernatural elements to the effects of drug use when there is no evidence or reason to believe there is a connection?

Have you stopped to ponder the psychological and spiritual effects of certain drugs? Isn't it possible they open "gates" to the spiritual realm? Question is, which gates? If Scripture tells us there is only one way to God, then where do drugs lead?

I've went through it; a family member who was clean... start using after years of being clean, got some symbolically evil tatoos and the drug use increased until he would up incarcerated for a whole host of illegal activities.

Yes drug use is a spirit, a demonic spirit, take it from someone who knows, ME.
when I use to take LSD, no normal human is supposed to see what you see. When I use to take speed or powder speed called Monster, it opened me up to all kinds of wrong behavior, and so did cocaine. These drugs is a way for the demonic spirit realm to control you. And guess what they do. I have seen some stuff in my years dealing with that stuff, that is to crazy to talk about. I remember one time in the early 80's everybody in the apartment was speeding so hard that, we all fealt the presence of the demonic realm at the same time.
And we all knew what it was. And there was other times. Sometimes you can look into the eyes of a person on drugs and see that a bad spirit is in them.
It is hard to explain, but you can just tell. And the world is under the spell of this stuff. Go to Revelations 18:23 KJV, and translate the word Sorceries, in that verse and see what you come up with. You will come up with the Greek word Pharmakia, if I spelled that right, it has been a while. But anyway that is where you get the word Pharmacy from,=Drugs. And that verse says that, the world will be under it's spell. And fighting drugs is spiritual warfare.

Never touch the stuff. Real reality is strange and inspiring enough for me.

I am here to tell you that you are very wrong on this. I speak from expeiriance. I have been witness to demon possed people and the exorcism. Its very much real !

Christine. You are also correct in that you can see them through the eyes.
