Easter- another reason to celebrate?

"Thousands of Christian couples plan to celebrate the occasion of their savior's creation by attending 'conception parties' this weekend, intimate gatherings where the conception of the world's most famous baby is lovingly reenacted. Fans of the pro-life parties say that theirs is a way of livening up the culture of life. But some Christians say that they're uncomfortable celebrating the pregnancy of a teenage girl, even if the father was a heavenly one."

Forgive me for saying this, but a party to get pregnant sounds like an orgy.

There's has to be a joke here involving Easter eggs, I just know it.

This is wierd.

I think there is some kind of hidden meaning in these parties that we are not seeing.

First of all no one celebrates the conception of anyone. It has never happened so why start now. Secondly You can't determine the actual date of conception, even with todays scientific advances. Third, was Jesus actually born on Dec 25? Did they even use that calender back then?

I always thought that Dec 25th was just the common day to recognize the birth of the saviour.

Actually, Christians did celebrate the conception of Christ on March 25, which is where Dec. 25 Christmas comes from.
