Oh my! I've been celebrating the wrong thing! All these years I've thoroughly enjoyed the wonder of a suffering and triumphant Lord, and now I find I'm mistaken.

Oh come on...

Who doesn't want to worship Astarte's annual festival? It's a non stop orgy followed by a visit to the VD clinic. Except for those who became HIV positive... We will have their wake in a few months.

And then we can celebrate mothers day followed by Guess Who Your Father Is Day a month later.

Or

We can have a traditional Good Friday followed by Easter Sunday and maybe some fun and games for children to give them happy memories.

I'm going traditional this year.

Yeah, there'll be a bunch of talk about worshiping false gods, etc, etc, etc. Until I read what fundamentalists say, I never realized the man who died on a cross and rose from the dead three days later that I worship and celebrate on Easter was a false god!

This Easter Sumday my youngest daughter is getting baptised and I'm going to be in the pool with her.
I'm so excited, more excited than the Easter Bunny.

I have promised not cry, not sure I can keep that one. Although for sure there will be an Easter Egg or two for my 4 kids and of course my better half.
