I'm reading the "Prophetic Observer" July 2006 issue, from Southwest Radio Church,
and,in it they say this:
...the onslaught of the church growth movement, or as ti is also known, the "seeker friendly" church. It is our belief that this movement is a great contributor to the apostasy that prophetic Scripture says must occur before the Antichrist will be revealed. (2nd Thess. 2:3)
...Those that potentially could come together and be led by the false prophet are the church growth movement, the Catholic church, and a new rising star in the church change culture. It is the "emerging church movement" (ECM)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Red Flag: the emergent church movement, or ECM, "DOES NOT have a position on absolute truth". spoken by Tony Jones.
Josh Reich says "Church should be like a dance club".
the ECM, AKA church without walls, aka liquid church.
Decentralized organizational structure
RED FLAG: a desire to re-analyze the Bible...witht he goal of revealing a multiplicity of
"valid" perspectives rather than a single valid interpretation. This is a "what does it mean to YOU" approach, as opposed to the preferred "what does Scripture truly say".
HERE IS THEIR WEBSITE: http://emergingchurch.info/index.htm
Brian McLauren, ECM leader, refers to questions about if there will be anyone in hell by saying:
these questions are evangelical hang-ups for the doctrinally moribund. In short, he doesn't like the truth about what God says will happen to those who reject Jesus as Saviour.
I noticed right away several lies, and false teachings. A seductive approach to lure the
18-34 year old group. http://emergingchurch.info/index.htm
They DO NOT teach that the Bible is the final authority.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Four "emerging churches", Three Nails Churches, The End Ministries, Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community, and the Open Door, are big on using candles, incense, Celtic crosses, labyrinths, elaborate Communion tables, prayer stations, and the interplay of light and shadow.
They believe that the Eucharist Jesus is another Jesus.
