God promised Abraham and his seed all the land from the river Nile to the river Euphrates.
Gen 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
This is likely the original land of Eden (remember God planted his garden in the east part of Eden (Gen.2:8). What's amazing and provincial is that entire portion of land is surrounded by fault lines and is called the Arabian Plate. It's almost as though God wanted to keep that portion of land preserved.
