Either Jesus Christ KNOWS...or, HE Does not !

Revelation 22:14 "Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city".

WHY IS THIS...in the Bible ?

Jesus told how to gain eterrnal life....

Matthew 19:16 "And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments".

Does Jesus Christ KNOW what HE is talking about ?

Peter seemed to think so......
John 6:68 "Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God".

QUESTION: Why does the modern Christian world ignore, or reject, what Jesus said, regarding the keeping of the commandments, in relation to gaining eternal life ?

How can anyone claim to believe in Jesus Christ, and reject what HE said ?

DOES....Luke 6:46 "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say ?"
....MEAN anything at all ?

Grace is for the believer who wants to do the right thing and yet blows it. Time after time in most cases. God sees the desire to obey.

The abuse of grace is one who believes that they can recite a simple prayer, and do anything that they want and still go to heaven. They believe grace is a license to sin. God sees the desire to sin.

I can not help but wonder what will happen to those who are deliberately and willfully trying to cause Christians to blow it. Jesus said that it would be better if a millstone were tied around their neck and they be cast into the sea.

Yes, I can see that you have insight into the problems facing the modern Christian world at large.

Christianity is not an easy road, once one sets their feet upon the right path, as satan takes great offence to anyone who tries to live a Righteous lifestyle patterned after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.....
Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make WAR with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ".

BUT, Jesus has promised help, in overcoming any and all temptations satan might throw at us, Praise God !
