Our example of the gathering of the "two" witnesses at the end of the tribulation....

Mark 9:2-3 And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and He was transfigured before them. And His raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

9:4-6 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias." For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

9:7-8 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son: hear Him." And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

Moses and Elijah, the law and the prophet, representing the bodies of the two witnesses, of which there are many, are with Jesus. They are the "great cloud of witnesses."

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Peter wanted to make three tabernacles, three bodies for them but....there was "Jesus only." There is One body in Christ, One body of Christ....we, are that body.

''After 6 days'' interesting sign of the times, that reve speaks of the two witnesses, they come after 6 ''days''. and appear on the mountain (in Spirit).

MMarc,

Are you referring to the two prophets of Rev 11?

Nice post :)

Yes the "two witnesses" are two companies of witnesses. The Bible is full of "two witnesses"

Luk 10:1 Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come.

Then also the example you gave is very powerful. After six days (6000 years) and we see the company of the witnesses represented here by Moses and Elijah. We also see the glorified Christ (Christ being manifested in His Body of believers after 6000 years (John 16 ) ) and we see Peter, James and John as the 30, 60 and 100 fold in Matthew in the parable of the sower. Also as :star, Moon and Sun glory.1Co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Also: Mat 18:16 But if he hear thee not, take with thee one or two more, that at the mouth of two witnesses or three every word may be established.

God is not going to judge the world without bringing the "two witnesses" to witness to God about the wickedness of the world. This scripture must also be fulfilled.

Then we have:Exo 31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

The word in Hebrew also means: Witnesses

H5715
עדוּת
‛êdûth
ay-dooth'
Feminine of H5707; testimony: - testimony, witness.

So we see Moses )Glorified with his face shining, also having been on a mountain and he carries with him, the two witnesses.

The Bible has a puzzle in it, that we can solve. God has hidden everything in picture form in the Old and in the New Testament. God loves to do this, and He loves it when we search out the matter.

Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
