Our example of the gathering of the "two" witnesses at the end of the tribulation....
Mark 9:2-3 And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and He was transfigured before them. And His raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
9:4-6 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias." For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
9:7-8 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son: hear Him." And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
Moses and Elijah, the law and the prophet, representing the bodies of the two witnesses, of which there are many, are with Jesus. They are the "great cloud of witnesses."
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Peter wanted to make three tabernacles, three bodies for them but....there was "Jesus only." There is One body in Christ, One body of Christ....we, are that body.
