"If these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:2-11
Do you enjoy the process of growth? Very few of us do. We live in an instant gratification world. We want everything right away. But it doesn't work that way. Everything that happens to us is in some way our fault and an opportunity to grow. If you want success in anything you must first fail and then grow. Failure and mistakes is the way we learn and grow. Growth is a process. We will never achieve success in anything without first failing. It is a process.
It is the same with our spiritual growth. The apostle Peter reminded believers the Christlike living and effective service is the result of a process. He urged them to grow in eight areas of spiritual development: faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. (2 Peter 1:5-7) If you possess these qualities in increasing measure, Peter said, You will be neither barren nor unfruitful in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (V. 8)
God calls us to a wonderful process of learning to know Him, with the assurance that it will lead to a productive service in His name and for His honor.View attachment 4577
