All the anxious people, including my wife (almost), are taking advantage of their free credit monitoring services when to everyone's dismay they take you to a page to download a "flash player pluggin" with malware. So if a person downloads this on their Microsoft desktop or laptop, it may compromise their PC's. Somehow the hackers inserted that page into Equifax's site.

Like I said to my wife, I'd ride this out. A good credit card company like ours texts us with suspicious purchases. Right now phishers of all sorts will take advantage of the situation.
