Eternal life has two parts.

Justification is the first part. This is peace with God. Jesus is the author. We are happy children. We drink milk/blood of Jesus.

Salvation is the last part. This is fellowship with God in his sufferings. Jesus is the finisher. We become warriors in the battle against the beast. We eat strong meat not previously chewed by parents; the body of Jesus. We wear the armor of righteousness.

Rom 5:9-11
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! (from New International Version)

OK, if 'Eternal life has two parts'...where is resurrection?

Ret,

The resurrection of Jesus is our salvation from God.

The death of Jesus is our reconciliation to God.

Our spiritual death and spiritual resurrection by the Spirit of Jesus Christ is a daily portion of the inheritance that we have in Jesus Christ, through the faith of the operation of God. Daily our Lord puts us into a deep sleep ( rest/justification/peace with God ) and brings forth a rib and gives us children. God, the Father, authorizes our surgery and transforms our loss/spiritual circumcision to his glory. When we awake we are still with the Lord Jesus and he gives us to say, "Here am I and the children you have given me." This is how we bear fruit unto the Lord Jesus, to the glory of God the Father, the husbandman, the head of Jesus Christ.
