Evangelism Equation....

Did you know that some would say that it is possible that the entire world could be saved in 16+1/2 years?

Here's the "equation." Suppose we begin with one dedicated Christian. this dedicated Christian would then disciple another person for six months, making two believers. Each of the two disciple another person for Six months, and making a total of 4 Believers, etc.

Here's how the numbers look:

2 years: 16 believers
3 years: 64 Believers
4 years: 256 believers
5 years: 1,024 believers
6 years: 4,096 believers
7 years: 16,384 believers
8 years: 65,536 believers
9 years: 262,144 believers
10 years: 1,049,776 believers
11 years: 4,199,104 believers
12 years: 12,796,416 believers
13 years: 51,185,654 believers
14 years: 204,742,616 believers
15 years: 818,970,454 believers
16 years: 3,275,881,816 believers
16 1/2 years: 6,551,763,638 believers

Wow! Does anyone else see some interesting flaws in here besides my imitation of the math?

:-D

Oh, ye of little faith. If Christians tapped into the power of God, we could see 3,000 people added to the church a day... each day

Why think small. Those that expect little from God, get little. Expect miracles... Ye have not because ye ask not.

It just means that a lot of people would have to get out of their comfort zone.

Hi there!

Certainly, there are no variable in this equation. Wouldn't it be a good concept though?

As I said, I agree with the principle that is the foundation of this equation. There is still a flaw in it's very premise.
