Hello,
My name is Ruby. I'm 16, British, and an atheist.
This forum does seem to accept members of different beliefs and non-beliefs, as the question "Are you a christian" asked during the registering process would seem to suggest.
I'm a Hitchens/Dawkins fan, but don't write me off too quickly:
I come from a Christian family - my grandparents are born-again Christians and highly involved in their faith.
I'm also studying Christian ethics and philosophy, so I do (somewhat) know my way around Christianity.
My studies are mainly the reason I'm here, I write a lot of essays that often require knowledge of a Christian point of view to counterbalance my own; I find the best way to acquire such views is through talking to Christians, and I fear I have exhausted my grandparents on this front.
Hence, this.
So, nice to meet you, and I look forward to some interesting discussions.
