Every word of God is pure: Really?

Just dawned on me - most, if not all, modern versions change the word "pure" to "flawless". What a joke!
A septic tank can be flawless but not pure.
But honestly, nobody cares anymore - any old version will do. The world's religion is like Burger King - "You can have it your way!"
And since most of professing Christainity is unregenerate anyway they wouldn't notice the differences or even care.

AVBunyan, just curious if you knew, but check, 2 Tim. 3:17 Some KJV Bibles (I believe even a few 1611's) say thoroughly instead of throughly. You want it to say throughly. Because Throughly means to completely (clean, whatever) something inside and out, thoroughly only applies to one area, not all.

Until we are “enabled†by God’s Spirit to understand that God is The Absolute Sovereign Lord Of All Creation, past, present and future, that in fact ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY IS TRANSPIRING EXACTLY ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, we simply cannot and will not understand that God’s Word is all true. EVERY SINGLE WORD.
That is where our understanding is found insufficient, only those who have given God their WHOLE HEART and are led by GOD’S SPIRIT will have a full understanding of God’s Word and Truth in the here and now.
Only those who give God their whole hearts, put His will ahead of their own wants and desires, obey Him and turn away from SIN, will be enabled by God to understand His truth in a full way in the here and now.
Only those who OBEY GOD and STUDY HIS WORD with a HUMBLE, TEACHABLE HEART.
The majority will not figure it out. Their hearts are far from God. They are not listening to the Holy Spirit so they are listening to “the voice of reason†( the voice of False reason ) Satan. The ruler of this world until Christ’s return.
God is the author and creator of every single event, every cause and circumstance that allows men to “chooseâ€Â. He created all that is in the world from beginning to end. Every life, mind, thing on this planet. He is God Almighty!
Most of us have heard before that God is everywhere, what very few seem to realize is that God is everything! That’s right everything! Every atom, every molecule, every living thing! He is the Earth, Air, Water and Fire. The very elements themselves! He is the Earth and all things in it! The Bible says “ in Him we live and move and have our being.†God is the universe and much, much more. God is unlimited power and knowledge, wisdom and strength. He is all seeing and all knowing! God is phenomenal!!!!!!! We can barely even begin to comprehend His unfathomable glory! God is life itself! All life! Even us!!!
God is sovereign, we are all living creator designed lives that are so complex and intricate it is absolutely mind boggling. We can barely begin to understand the wisdom and knowledge God has to create a human being, a life, a living soul. Imagine how much intelligence, compassion, wisdom and love it must have taken to create you, your family, your life. Every thought you ever had, every dream, wish, hope, fear, prayer. Every breath you will ever take, every drop of water, every bite of food. Every tear, every heartache. Every single thing. All of it. No random chance, no luck. All planned out, all from God. Your heavenly Father.
Everything is transpiring according to His will. All of human history. Everything! There is not one atom or molecule out of place.
Now…until we begin to understand such things and realize that GOD IS THE AUTHOR AND CREATOR OF EVERYTHING IN EXISTENCE, THAT GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF EVERY BOOK EVER WRITTEN we will fail to comprehend that God gave us our Bibles just the way they are….
TO TEST OUR HEARTS!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the slippery slope that THE VAST MAJORITY ARE SLIDING ON…..if we do not believe that GOD‘S WORD IS TRUE, if we disagree with even so much as ONE SINGLE SCRIPTURE, we are DISAGREEING WITH GOD and to top it all off, WE ARE AGREEING WITH SATAN that GOD’S WORD isn’t TRUE and CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
If we “disagree†with EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE…we will soon be found disagreeing with MANY SCRIPTURES!!!
ALL THE SIN, DEATH, SUFFERING AND SEPERATION FROM GOD IN THIS WORLD ARE THE RESULT OF ONE ACT OF DISOBEDIENCE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN!

Most Bibles such as The King James Edition, The American Standard Edition, and The New International Version are good translations. If you know a bit about languages you can appreciate that some meanings are hard to convey when translating between languages. That is the key to fully understanding the Bible. The so called contradictions vanish when you examine the original Greek and Hebrew Manuscripts and languages.
Now read this scripture, “ Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Knowledgeâ€Â. If you haven’t studied the Bible much, you are probably a little disconcerted, not too sure what to think. The Bible refers to “Fear of the Lord†many times. When you learn that the word Fear in “The Greek Manuscripts†means “Reverent Awe†it gives the scripture a whole new meaning! Read it now, “Reverent Awe of the Lord is the Beginning of Knowledgeâ€Â.
When you come to realize Who and What God is, that He is all things, EVERYTHING, you will experience Reverent ( jaw dropping ) Awe!!! The scripture is true! If this “offends†you, ( I’m Sorry ) do a little research and you will soon find out that IT IS TRUE!!!!!!!
The word Church appears in the Bible frequently. It is not referring to organized religion, or to buildings and cathedrals. It refers to “ Those Who Are Called Out By God!†Every time you come to the word Church in the Bible, realize it pertains to Those Who Believe in God and His Word, or to the Group of Believers!
People used to worship God and study His Word in their homes in Biblical Times. The Romans came up with the idea of corralling the Christians up into buildings so they could keep an eye on the followers of Christ!
Can you see why some religious organizations are far more concerned about providing an “motional experience†than they are about preaching the Truth of God’s Word?
If we are so blessed as to be ENABLED BY GOD to STUDY HIS WORD with a HUMBLE, TEACHABLE, HEART we will KNOW GOD’S TRUTH in a full way.
Otherwise…. we must take the slippery slope of CONFUSION and or, RELIGIOUS BABYLON. Or, to put it another way…we must TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME.

Oh I'm not offended at all. I agree, sort of anyway. The word church is never used in the Greek. Even the "experts" aren't sure about the origin of this word. The Greek word used is ecclesia, or ekklesia and is literally translated as "assembly" or "congregation".
So when you see the word church in your Bibles, think congregation, the called out ones. ;-)
