Pastor Bob explains the ten commandments as need being the first consideration in
all that you do, and explains that keeping these laws in mind, constantly, knowing that
they precede the laws concerning the servants, crimes with death penalty laws, and
personal injury laws, we would then be able to see more clearly the mind set and the
culture of those days.
If anyone understands the Hebrews and their customs in the days of Moses. Pastor,
Pastor Coy does. In his sermons here, he reveals it to us and leaves no room for anyone
to not understand the reasoning behind and why the laws were written in those days the
way they were, and how they served as PREVENTATIVE measures against sin. They
awakened the due respect the people of those times were to have for each other and they
were effective in that, they were representative of the "Love they neighbor laws" and the "Do
unto others as you would have them do unto you", rule. They served as deterrents to bad
behavior. Not as promoter of bad behavior as some who interpret the bible in these modern
times, might have so mistakenly thought. And Pastor Coy gives an excellent example of
how they would apply in todays system if we were to have them in effect as laws of order
for the people.
