Extra biblical revelation

Supposedly this is anything that you figure out outside scripture. If Jesus was the truth, and the holy spirit is the spirit of truth. Then anything in truth would be the opposite of falsehood. And therefore the opposite of Satan.

The spirit has revealed to me a great number of these truths that the bible doesn't mention. Such as music that claims to be Christian, but really isn't. You can change the lyrics to anything and rechristen it as "christian". But is it really? Example in point would be Christian metal. If you still have the rage and aggression. Thats not of Christ. Music can be positive or negative. The darkness and the light. The bible tells you to have no fellowship with darkness. What really then is christian approved music? Other than the simple hymns you sing in Church. Like Paul and Silas singing songs for God at midnight while in prison.

You can't fight the devil with hate or attention. You can only beat the devil by ignoring or with love.

When Jesus said to "turn the other cheek" he was telling you to "don't feed the troll" over 2000 years ago.

(ol' slewy still gets around though, eh!! just look at all the destruction and war and pharmacy and false religion in the world today! )
anywho, you're right about music(most is not from God, even so-called 'christian' music). but 'they' usually won't listen. 'they' can't. still, younger ones may learn early on, or even later, what is of God, and what is not. Yhwh willing. by grace.

Jeff I wonder if Jesus 40 day fast resisting the devil is also setting an example and telling us all addiction can be broken with a 40 day fast? I look at the devil as my enemy. A terminator like robot whose only mission is my destruction. And like a sociapath, he lies and uses all his energy for his objective caring only for himself. Therefor I try to focus on all the things the scripture says about how to deal with the devil so we don't get weighlayed. But there is extrabiblical revelation. Arguing with "trolls' on youtube. You know the typical "there is no God, you are wasting your time" people. Experience taught me I can't beat them or reason with them. And then I realized...why am I arguing with them? The arguing, the disturbance, anything to disrupt your peace. This pulls you off the narrow path....you stop looking ahead at God and you look down at the devil and give him attention. And then when I reread the bible these techniques started sinking in.

I do not like anything that causes drama anymore. I enjoy the peace I get from the teachings of Jesus Christ.

some people have been freed from addiction in a moment. some take decades. and many in between. a fast of any length may help, and might be the way appointed by Yhwh. that's up to Yhwh. He has set people free in Yeshua many ways, on every continent, for a long time (to us) now. that will end soon. (for most people).
you're right about 'arguing' - it usually gets no where fast (or slow). people want their ears tickled. not all, but most.

realize that any revelation, all truth, is always totally in line with all of Scripture. Truth will never contradict Scripture. (well, ya'know, it 'may' contradict man's translation or explanation; but God Himself will never, never, never contradict Himself- (except to some of those appointed for destruction who can never know the truth because they have hated the truth and are given over by God to believe their own delusions;;; to them, they will 'claim' a 'contradiction' ) ....

Thanks Jeff, the truth is all I ever wanted. But most of my life was spent looking toward paranormal things like ghost or aliens thinking that was truth. The spirit revealed to me what the simple truth was. I received more and more truth after I started trying to follow and understand the bible. Repenting of my sins. I pretty much gave my life up for Jesus. I stopped caring about everything material. For a year or two there I read and consumed everything I could that had to do with Jesus including the bible. By giving up the world I was revealed the truth. You can't put a price on that truth. I feel like Paul, like I have everything and nothing at the same time. I am simply disgusted by the modern world now.

Wow! Good! Yes! ("what does it help a man if he gains the WHOLE WORLD, yet loses his soul") you know already. nothing!
so, we have given up the world, the loves of the world and it's lusts. by grace in Christ Jesus.
we have given up caring about everything material. this is very important. continue so, by faith in Jesus and grace from ABBA.
(too many 'believers' think that they can somehow handle the things of the world and remain un-stained.)(they won't listen to truth either)(as you have found out also)
so,
remember you do have everything needed pertaining to life, FREELY GIVEN BY GOD IN CHRIST JESUS;
and nothing --- everything, everything entirely, IS GOD'S.
