Bible Study Fact Destroys Faith

Wow, that's quite a title I have up there. How can that be so? Well, hear me out on this one. Faith is believing without the need for physical proof. If someone could answer every question and "problem" in the Bible so that not one person could argue otherwise then there would be no faith. There would be no choice, either you choose what is obvious or not.

However, God wants us to choose Him on faith. That's why (I believe) God only leaves limited proof of Himself on this planet. It's enough to support Him but still leave doubts so that it becomes our choice to allow Him to fill in those doubts personally for us or not.

Do you agree?

While most people say they believe in God, many do not think of him as a real person. Is he? Well, it can be seen that where there is intelligence there is a mind. For example, we may say; 'I cannot make up my mind'. And we know that where there is a mind there is a brain in a body of a definite shape. So, then, the great mind responsible for all creation belongs to the great Person, Almighty God. Although he does not have a material body, he has a spiritual one. A spirit person has a body? Yes, the Bible says; "If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one". 1 Corinthians 15:44 John 4:24
Since God is a person with a spiritual body, he must have a place to live? The Bible tells us that the heavens are God's "established place or dwelling". [1 Kings 8:43] Also, we are told that "Christ intered ....into heaven itself, now to appear before the person of God for us". [Hebrew 9:24] Some humans will be rewarded with life in heaven with God, at which time they will receive spirit bodies. They will then see God, the Bible says; and also be like him. [1 John 3:2] This, too, shows that God is a person, and that he has a body.
Is God the kind of person we would grow to love if we got to know him well? Perhaps so, but since we cannot see God, how can we get to know about him? [John 1:18] The Bible shows one way when it says; "For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship". [Romans 1:20] So the things that God has created canhelp us to understand what God is like, if we really examine them and think aboub them.

I personally don't believe so.

While it is better to believe in God without proof instead of being a doubting Thomas, I do feel that there are plenty of supporting evidence which would suggest that there is indeed a God, and that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God.

There is nothing wrong with backing up your belief with support.

I believe that the prophecies in the Bible, the scientific evidence presented in the Bible, history and archoealogy speaks for itself. The Bible is unlike any other written work in the history of the planet.

It took me a lot of time to finally accept that there is a God, I would never believe in something without reasonable support.
