Now that the movie is out, has anyone seen it?

I was really impressed by it, I liked it. By the way, I do like Michael Moore and bowling for Columbine. I've heard many interviews with him and read many of his books--the only place I see disagreement between myself and him would be in our understandings of Christianity. Other than that, I like the dude.

Before continuing onwards, I'll preface my next statement by saying that I am a conservative who usually votes Republican. I'm against abortion, I think its evil. I think we should have prayer in school and I think the television is demonic. Next statement: I really really hope everyone votes for Kerry instead of Bush. I can't believe anyone, especially a Christian, falls for Bush's masquerade of lies. I know there are things about Kerry that Christians naturally object to--but in this case, he is obviously the lesser of the two evils.[/i]

Not a Michael Moore fan and I have no desire to see "9/11."

But it's nice to read an opinion about the movie that does have backing and isn't completely bashing Bush.

Cheers. :D

After seeing Micheal Moore on Jay Leno last night, I want to see this movie. IF the movie has actual facts to back up his claims, then why would anyone get mad?

I don't know the guy. Last night was the first time I've even heard him talk. He's also doing a documentary on HMO's. We have an HMO and the prices are going up every single year, so I'm interested in what he's found.

I can't stand Kerry. But, I'm beginning to literally feel fear at the thought of voting for Bush. I think that the whole VeriChip thing has gotten me more confused in knowing that Bush is supporting it.

UGH! Maybe I'll vote for Nader.

I do want to see this movie though.

it almost seems a lose-lose situatiuon sometimes...

I kinde of want to see farenhype 9/11 ;)

I haven't even bothered looking into what the movie/ documentary was about, but after watching him and finding out that he has PROOF to back up all his claims, I really want to see it. I'm not stupid. I know that the government hides stuff from us. I would like to see what he's found out though.

michael moore is a discusting Homosexual pervert though I do not believe he is a homosexual my self.

You call the guy a homosexual pervert and then say that you don't believe he's a homosexual? Talk about contradicting yourself. :-?

I don't know the guy or anything about him except that he says he has proof to back up certain claims and I want to see and hear his proof. It's always nice to hear and see actual proof when such serious claims are being made about our country and President.

not really you can be a non-practicing homosexual and yet be pro-homosexual.

In one of Mr M. Moore`s videos he brackes the law and re-inacts a homosexual moment in his camper van

I had turned my TV channel over when they showed this clip of Micheal moore.

I just watch Far. 9/11 the other day... and... well...

I can't say how many facts were in it for sure...

But from what I saw... It was basically a One-way tape bashing Pres. Bush and his actions... with gruesome pictures to churn some stomachs...

I think a majority of the reviews take the movie entirely out of context...
They either praise it or bash it... but none seem to fit it...

It did have some facts granted... but they were facts a majority of the people already know...
The other claims were not backed up... Mainly opinion... one way opinion leading to claims without seeing the other side of the line...

As for how it would affect my views on the up-and-coming election...
I would still have to hold for Bush... The documentrary most likely had me move a little more toward Bush... just for the fact such a movie can be fully endorsed... while it is more of an opinion piece then a documentary...
But some movies that are anti-Kerry and pro-Bush will not be shown on tv and such due to the fact they are considered to oneside and the stations are given pressure from other sources.

I really really hope everyone votes for Kerry instead of Bush. I can't believe anyone, especially a Christian, falls for Bush's masquerade of lies.
I can't stand Kerry's pro-abortion stance... You can't say your a catholic, read a passage saying your faith should influence your decisions, then say you will support abortion... That seems trying to get his cake and eat it to... Get both the Catholic and Pro-Abortionist Votes...
Can't have it both ways... maybe if he said he would take a neutral stance, I could take it... but that issue alone has me worried about him...

i never did rent it because they didn't have it and i'm not paying almost $4 to rent it from Blockbuster.

I'm voting on the ISSUES. I don't support abortion, so that right there tells me who my man is.

do you think Mike moore sucks up to kerry ???????

*sigh* If only people on both sides of the debate could learn to love their enemies...

such stupid movies wouldn't be made, such arguing and debating would cease, people wouldn't make such threats about what will happen in either case...

do you think Mike moore sucks up to kerry ???????

Do you ever think Mike moore expresses his political opinion, and then presents facts to back them up?

He has been called a "traitor" and an "anti-american", but it can be seen instead that he loves his country to such an extent, that these are the lengths that he will go to in an attempt to show people the truth - yet many narrow minded people throw it back in his face and label him as a socialist traitor. I sometimes speak out rather harshly against my countries government, yet do I do it out of pure, uncompromising hate for my country? No, quite the opposite.

Well, I think you're right about that. Sometimes the most patriotic thing can be the least nationalistic. I don't think Moore is a traitor or a terrorist or anything like that.

However...

The job/function of a movie like F9/11 is to convince people Bush is too evil to re-elect. If it didn't fulfill that, it would not have fulfilled its purpose. People argue about the movie like its either court room evidence that should be used to hang Bush or that it all came from Moore's imagination. It really is a lamination of both. Moore has overstated his arguments against Bush in the film. Look, there is enough evidence to think that Bush has been (and is) into some shady stuff. I knew that before I saw the film. However, the film not only incorporated real evidence but also 'evidence' that could be tweaked in an anti-Bush direction. Furthermore, some of it was simply Moore bashing Bush for reasons that may have only been his imagination. Admitting that Moore did twist the truth a bit is not the same as admitting that F9/11 is devoid of good arguments against Bush. Which there are (good arguments against Bush). On the other hand, most people who complain about his movie have never seen it and a lot of people are convinced the movie says things it doesn't say. Very little of the 'debunking' process has come from analysts who watched the entire thing (as opposed to seeing little clips). And when the 'debunking' has been done, it has focused only on parts that were either exagerrations or lies, but has left much of the genuine evidence against Bush untouched and uncommented on. Because it is just that, genuine evidence against Bush...

Furthermore, Moore isn't the only one using propoganda. His efforts have been to ignore the pros of Bush, highlight the cons, and extrapolate those cons and make sure people know about them. There are films, like 'Faith in the White House' that do the opposite. They ignore the cons altogether, highlight the pros, and extrapolate them and try to get people to see only that. It isn't that it is one or the other, that we have to pick between seeing Bush as an evil demon who set up 9/11 and is probably going to turn into Hitler the 2nd if re-elected - v.s. - seeing Bush as a good Christian leader who can be like Jesus for us and fix all of our problems and get rid of evil and be the best president ever.

Maybe, perhaps, in the final analysis, Bush is just a human like any one else who has his own strengths and weaknesses, who did parts of his job as president very well and failed horribly at other parts?

Michael Morrer did not simply "overstate his case" against Bush.

The man is a liar a swine a fat lout and a porky pig wanna be.

Trust me... I am holding back... I don't want to offend anyone. :D

The man is a liar a swine a fat lout and a porky pig wanna be.

Questioning the mans intelligence because of his body? Grow up. 10 year olds laugh at other peoples weight problems and use it as arguements against the authenticity of their actions and works.

I am not questioning his intelligence because he looks like a fat weasel.

And you don't have to be a 10 year old to laugh at someone because they are fat.

I am not laughing...

Michael is a fat lout. I agree that it is immature to state such things.

That is why I won't mention that he reminds me of the pig I raised on my small hobby farm. ;-)

Ba..bedeeah bedeah that's all folks!
:D

Kerry is reportedly the founder of VVW Vietnam Veterans

against the war. I guess that is something that he is proud of.

Have you ever been to the VVW website. Here is the site's address:

http://www.oz.net/~vvawai/index.html

You will see at the top of the page amerikkka.

I suppose this means that we are klu klux klanners?

the bold print announces various topics.

One says that we can either support the "troops" or the "resistance." I had to look at that one. It says that we are committing atrocities in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

You will also see that there are unsubstantiated claims that thousands of women are sexually harassed in the military.

This is an amazing site. It seems that there isn't anything good about the US.

You Kerry supporters that talk about Bush are amazing.
