Of course you, nor I, can 'repent enough' - that's your problem - you are trying to do the impossible.

So give up trying to do the impossible and accept God's gift because God already sees up for what we are.

Some folks are very strong willed!:thumbsup Think of it this way? Any person can commit suicide, they have given up their will. Think now, OK?;)

This is the same 'type' of requirement that Christ requires. Not suicidial death but the EVIL WILL to death. (or spiritual suicide) It is only then that God can recreaet the new 'WILL'.

Again Acts 5:32 documents this truth that the Hoply Spirit is given only to these who will Obey Him. And that is possible only through God's power! It is then & only then that Phil. 4:13 applies!

In the scenario you describe, there would have been no exercise of faith . Look at Heb 11:6 -- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. God doesn't involve Himself if there is not faith. For example, people are not entitled to God's provision because they need it or because they want it. They are entitled to His blessing only thru the exercise of their faith.

Ignoring our worries IS an exercise of our faith, isn't it? And it's easier to do after we repent of our sin, isn't it? After all, if you just robbed a bank, you might be worrying about spending the next few years in prison.

How does a person know when he has repented enough?

Pray for the Lord to help you understand exactly what he expects of you. Understand that he wants us to be sober, chaste, and humble. He wants us to love him with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and love our neighbors as ourselves. Don't add unnecessary rules.

No rules being added. Just answer the question, or see my previous explanation of why I asked the question.
