We really do need to trust the Lord.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Some do, some dont!

Some trust in mans strength,
"Believers" trust in Gods strength!

Php 3:9

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Faith and trust are interlinked. Faith is in response to the truth and reality of God. He is both real and trustworthy and our faith is in response to those 2 facts.

Hebrews 11:6 NIV

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Well the Law is not of faith! no one can Know or trust God by the law!
We can deceive ourselves and think we are trusting God, but really we are trusting in our own strength!


Isa 5:18

Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
Isa 5:19

That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
Isa 5:20


Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Gal 6:14

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. :biglol

I agree with your first paragraph, nothing I've put says anything about the law

I was more or less speaking to our friend who started this thread. He seems to put forth the law at every chance he gets?

I assume HE relates the law to trust?
I thought you might also be of this mind? forgive me, if I have assumed something of you that is not true?

I certainly don't relate the law to trust or faith. What I've put shows the faith is in response to God not the law.
