GRACE (FALL FROM))
Heb 6:10
10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Luke 1:50
50 And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.
2 Cor 5:5
5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
Rom 8:27
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
2 Cor 10:4-5
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
1 Cor 11:31
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
John 5:22-23
22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
23 "that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
II Jn 1:9-11
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
Rev 22:18-19
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Acts 4:12
12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Eph 4:4-6
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Eph 4:11-14
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
Col 2:8
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Heb 10:28-29
28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
Heb 8:13
13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Gal 5:1-4
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Heb 2:1
1 Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
2 Cor 13:5
5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-- unless indeed you are disqualified.
Rom 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Heb 12:15
15 looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
Heb 6:10
10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Rev 3:15-16
15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

xxThere are so many ways that one can be disqualified, and disciples dont know it. A disciple is a student or beginner in Christianity. Now because someone who has fallen from grace or fallen short or been disqualifed doesnt know it them selves. It is easy for them to lead a disciple down the wrong path. When God has turned a person over to a reprobate mind, the person doesnt have the spiritual knowledge to discern it, and they become the blind leading the blind. Also a hypocrite doesnt know he is a hypocrite. The only evidence of any of this is having less verses now than you had a year ago. Because a christians growth, is in their growing in the Spirit, or in the idea that their still teaching the same thing today that they taught a year ago, if their on the same message. Where is their growth? This is the way to check yourself.

:Fade-color I agree. We all must grow in The Lord.
We each have a special calling in the body of Christ.
Thanks for showing this brilliant message.

God’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Himself. One way He does this is to bestow mercy on needy depraved sinners. This is the best news any of us can hear, and we have been commanded to tell others about this grace we have been given, - Kacy R. Sandidge

Quote:

God keeps us with His five-finger grip:

We are kept by the PROMISE of God.
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. (Jn. 6: 37-39)

We are kept by the POWER of God.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one. (John 10: 28-30)

We are kept by the PASSION of God.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8: 38-39)

We are kept by the PRIESTHOOD of God.
Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb. 7: 23-25)

We are kept by the PRESENCE of God.
In Him You also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Eph. 1: 13-15)

The PERSEVERANCE of the Saints
The believer will never finally fail because God will make him persevere until the end. He will persevere in his faith, and in the fruit of that faith, good works.

The believer will persevere in his faith.
God has made every Christian a life-long believer, that is, he will continue to trust God until the end.

...who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed...obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:5,9)

This faith is a gift from God.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Eph. 2: 8-9)

This faith can be examined and tested for durability and permanence.
In this [salvation] you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Pet. 1: 6-7)

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked, works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight¾if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. (Col. 1: 21-23)

And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward, but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. (Heb. 3: 5-6)

But the ones on the rock [rocky soil] are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. (Lk. 8: 13)

Question: Do I have a persevering faith or only a temporary faith?
The faith God gives is persevering.

The believer will persevere in his fruit (i.e. his works).
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 Jn. 3: 13-14)

And the seed [Word] in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. (Luke 8:15)

These works are a gift of God.
For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Eph. 2:10)

Good works are the result of true faith.
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. (James 2:26)

These works may be examined and tested for durability and permanence.
For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish…lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults; les, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced….Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?¾unless indeed you are disqualified? (2 Cor. 12: 20-21; 13: 5)

Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. (Mt. 12: 33)

Question: Do I have good works in my life, or only an outward show of religion?Am I continuing in good works?

Summary:

If you are a true believer you are safe forever in Christ!
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. (Jn. 6:47)

For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Heb. 13: 5b)

If you profess to know Christ and yet do not have persevering faith and corresponding works, you have no real faith at all.
(Note the "if" in these sentences. The believer is truly saved only "if" he has true persevering faith in the first place.)

Now I make known to you...the gospel...by which you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. (1 Cor. 15:2)

He has now reconciled you ...in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproachâ€â€if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel... (Col. 1: 22-23)

Take care, brethren, lest there should be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart, in falling away from the living God....For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end... (Hebrews 3:12, 14)

It is necessary, therefore, for you to continue in faith and corresponding works until the day you die. If you desire to do so and can do so, you are exhibiting true persevering faithâ€â€the faith that only God can give.
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses (see ch. 11 and the list of persevering saints that have gone before us), let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb. 12:1-2)

Do not be deceived, whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For the one who sows to his won flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption [eternal corruption in hell], but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. (Gal. 6:7-9)

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For is these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (1 Pet. 1: 5-11)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen
Jude 24-25

Hi there!

We are disciples of Christ, or learning about Christ for all of our spiritual walk, being a disciple is not just a "beginner's class" in Christianity.

Easton Bible Dictionary

Definition: Disciple

a scholar, sometimes applied to the followers of John the Baptist (Matt. 9:14), and of the Pharisees (22:16), but principally to the followers of Christ. A disciple of Christ is one who (1) believes his doctrine, (2) rests on his sacrifice, (3) imbibes his spirit, and (4) imitates his example (Matt. 10:24; Luke 14:26, 27, 33; John 6:69).

Now because someone who has fallen from grace or fallen short or been disqualifed doesnt know it them selves. It is easy for them to lead a disciple down the wrong path.

If a disciples is grounded in the truth of the Word, then someone who has "fallen from grace" will not lead that person down the wrong path... for one grounded in the truth will know the discernment of the Holy Spirit.

When God has turned a person over to a reprobate mind, the person doesnt have the spiritual knowledge to discern it, and they become the blind leading the blind.

Since when does God test people to qualify them concerning redemption?

Also a hypocrite doesnt know he is a hypocrite. The only evidence of any of this is having less verses now than you had a year ago.

source, please, for that jewel.

The apostle John teaches us that we are to walk in the light that God gives us for God is light... Any light that God has given me has been proven by scripture and time to be truth.

DISCIPLE (STUDENT)(IN THE MILK)
Luke 14:26-27
26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
27 "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
John 10:27
27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 13:16-17
16 "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;
17 "for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Matt 12:50
50 "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."
Luke 10:21
21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.
1 Cor 1:26
26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
Rom 14:22
22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
Luke 14:33
33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

Matt 18:3-4

1 Cor 13:10
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
Phil 3:12-17
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.

XXX A disciple is a student or beginner, and they start in the milk understanding of the Word. They start out reading and learning and changing their beliefs. And looking for the Holy Spirit within them. They will find evidence at first one or more of the 9 gifts of the Spirit. They are not required to do anything but change their beliefs for the first 3 years.

So are you saying that you are no longer a disciple of Jesus?

you said
Christ over christianity!

I said
Another oxymoron.

Please stop playing mind games. I asked you if you were no longer a disciple of Christ? A plain answer would be appreciated.

I said
That is a mind game when you ask that kind of question. Does an apostle quite being a disciple because he is now an apostle. A disciple is a student, and an apostle is still a student.

It is so sad that many people wander away from the faith. Even The Apostle Paul talked about it a lot in 1 Timothy.

It isn't for us to judge whether or not a person is saved, all we can do is pray for them and go and show them what the Bible says and urge them to return to Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:18- 19
Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.

One big problem is arrogance in the milk trying to judge those in the meat. Those in the meat understand those in the milk because they have been there before. But those in the milk havent been where those in the meat are. So it is just arrogance for those in the milk to judge those in the meat.

So what you're saying is that you yourself are in the meat understanding because this "Spirit" of yours helped you get there...

....while those of us who read the Bible, pray, use the Greek texts, search Bible dictionaries and encyclopedias are in the milk understanding? And furthermore, we are arrogant because we are trying to correct those in the meat understanding with our God-given reason, intelligence, understanding, and any other tools that God has given us?

As in this thread: http://www.christianforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=10483

or this one: http://www.christianforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=10413

Hmmm. I see.

I see everything but the Word of God.

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

1 Cor 1:26-27
26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
(NKJ)

1 Cor 1:18-21
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

See the following threads:

I see people who've attempted to correct you by quoting the Word of God to you in these threads, myself included.

You didn't see the Word of God in my last quote, and you don't see the Word of God when we use it in your other threads either.

2 Cor 4:4
"in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Here is your last quote

I steal dont see the Word of God. Reading the bible and quoting verses because you rely on the Word is different. Every born again christian knows that if God is sending them He will only do it with the Word. They also know that if someone claims to be a christian and doesnt quote the Word of God their in the milk understanding.

John 3:34
34 "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

So let me guess. All the quoting that a few of us have done for your benefit is just "reading the Bible," while all the quoting you've done is "reliance on the Word," right?
