Not sure I have put this in the most appropriate forum topic. Just looking for some discussion on some of the preachers you see on tv. Some of them are so over the top and dare I say completely inappropriate if not criminal in the requests/demands for their listeners to send them money. Others also do so but are completely at the other end of the spectrum (eg. Perhaps ask you to support them financially at the end of their program if you so wish). And then there is everything in between. But anyways some of these guys are just ruthless in telling listeners to send them money and then all their problems will be solved. Or that they will receive many times back in financial reward. Unfortunately, these guys are preying (as opposed to praying) on some of the most desperate people - those that are having financial problems to start with and trying to find a way out. Are these people not the epitome of false profits at this current time?

I completely agree with you.
I think the worst I have seen was giving out a cloth that had the sweat of their own brow on it. Of coarse for a donation. Yike!!

They corrupt the teaching of tithing and blessing. I've heard some actually use Jesus' teaching about the planting of the seed of the gospel as prosperity verses.

Yes they corrupt the teaching. But unfortunately too many people get taken advantage of. Upsetting to see elderly people wanting to send in their last dollars in an attempt to get healed or whatever

What's even worse, is that people fall for this wickedness. Just look, Joel Olstein, Joyce Meyer, T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, Jethro Dollar, Benny Hinn, etc.. has 10's of thousands following them. People just don't seek after sound doctrine,

2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
