Actually, the theory of evolution makes no claims regarding YECism. I am sure that some "evolutionists" would agree with this statement however.

Can you show me a texbook or scientific paper on evolutionary science that makes this claim?

Actually, evolutionary thoery says nothing whatsoever about the speed of light. That would be the theory of Special Relativity that makes this claim, or at least assigns the speed of light as being the only constant in the universe (there are, however special conditions in which the speed of light does "slow down" such as when light passes through a medium like water or glass - but this is allowed (and predicted) by Relativity.

We should make a distinction between what some creationists say, and what informed creationists say. If some fool claims that evolution teaches racism, or violates the 2nd law, or denies the existence of God, that is not to say all creationists are fools like that.

Creationism, unlike science, is not a consensus, but varies a great deal among creationists. Some are nearly evolutionists, while others are guilty of all the above, and more.

Most creationists are good people.
