i know many of you believe that being saved will guarantee your entry to Heaven.
im not here to dispute that. Just when i read stories of people who suffer horrific hours or even days, just before death, i cant help think that they skip Judgement Day. Go straight to Heaven. Even they havent formally given their life to Jesus.
Im talking about those who suffer awful pain and torture. Recently a lady was pinned under a car for hours. Being crushed slowly. Then someone came and actually teased her because she was a police officer. How gut wrenching just to read!
Dear Lord
Please fast track those who suffer so much in this life, to be Home with you asap

I always wonder just what people understand by the words ' sinless and sin '

Every human being is a sinner. Every human being deserves God's rightous judgement and condemnation to an eternity apart from him.

So how does a slow agonising death equal or stone for a lifetime of hatred towards God?

Please don't get me wrong, I understand that some people die really horrible deaths, like crucifixion, cancer etc etc

But turn it around.

Did Jesus deserve Calvary?

Every human legal systems says that ignorance of the law is not an excuse for breaking the law.

Equally every person knows that there is a God.
So it follows that everyone who does not seek God is guilty.

you make some good points. im coming from instinct rather than reason. my gut feeling says " your suffering has not gone unnoticed nor is it wasted. "
divine justice cleans up after the earthly tragedies and imbalance of fortunes which has people wondering what Gods game plan actually is.

Death is never dignified. It's ugly, brutal and final.
We shall all be there one day.
I really don't want my family and friends there... because of the undignified manner in which we all die. But it is a likely possibility.

But because my friends and family see me through the love they have for me colored by all the fond memories they have...it really isn't so bad...it's just a translation of my entrance to Heaven.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Just because someone suffers great physical pain from accidents or sickness, or even seems to be a good person and maybe even a church goer they will not be saved in the end if they have never been Spiritually born again confessing Christ as their Lord and Savior.

i respect that you have to take that line. personally I cant believe in a God that doesn't bring justice , peace and reward to anyone who has suffered in this life. We are all children of God whether we know it or not. The suffering of innocents is a mystery that only God can fathom. I choose to be consoled that God is taking care of business. All is well.

I don't like feel good deceivable messages that come against the word of God as I have had a gut full of them in the past. I search for truth by that of the Holy Spirit that reveals the mysteries of Gods word to me as I read what Jesus has already taught.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Not everyone will come to repentance, nor will they all believe in God.

How do you reconcile what Jesus said in Matthew 25:31-46 and Rev 20:11-15?

Do you really believe that those who have not believed in Christ will have eternal life with Him?

Just saying:shrug

we know where each other stands. i respect freedom to disagree even if proven wrong one day. most Christians will agree with you .

I forgot to add that no one is innocent with out sin as we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord. Redemption only comes by Christ, Romans 3:20-26.

To be brutal, what value does your ' gut ' feeling have in delivering justice.

Is God perfectly just?
If you think he isn't, then who is God?

David Attenborough talks about a parasite that causes a child to go blind as part of his reason for not believing in God.
Interestingly he ignores the Christian explanation for suffering and has none to offer instead.
People suffer because of sin, either their sin or other people's sin.
What can be done about the cause of suffering?
Well Jesus has dealt with that, he will also deal with the suffering caused by sin.

But he will deal with it on his terms not yours, mine or David Attenborough s terms.

We all are aware of the affects of suffering, Christianity does more to provide relief than any other belief system, more than Islam, atheism, or go gooding humanism.

Check it out.
