WHOO HOO! MY FIRST THREAD I STARTED HERE! :D

Okay, I'm a big fan of the 80's worship music, Leon Patillo, BJ Thomas, Amy Grant (her old stuff) but I also like Ginny Owens (one of my favs), Rebecca St. James , Cheri Keaggy and:

some of my favorite worship songs (I prefer them over any of the new stuff) are:

Lord I lift your name on High
Jesus Name above all names
I could sing your love forever
Majesty
and last but NOT least Ancient of days

What are your fav singers or songs?

I must be a bit of a weirdo because I like popular Christian music:
Michael W. Smith, Relient K, and a couple more songs like "Shout to The Lord", "Trading My Sorrows", and "Come now is the time to worship"

It looks like you and I are the only Southern Gospel music lovers on here so far.

I love the Old Hinsons, especially Kenny Hinson. I like some of the New Hinsons but they just can't hold a candle to the Old group.

I like: The Isaacs, The Gaither Vocal Band, Karen Peck and New River, Dottie Rambo, (My favorite song writer) the Hoppers and

Gold City

The Steeles

Mike Bowling

The Crabb Family
 
I like Pillar, TFK, Sonic Flood, Toby Mac, Third Day, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Chevelle, 100 Portraits, and many others that I can't think of right now. :fadein:
 
mac Evanescence are not christian they stated they dont profess to be a Christian band though the lead singer is a Christian supposedly.

like kings x they dont clame to be a christain band.

ok. my B. i forgot we were suppose to mentions Christian bands only. But i still like all of those.
 
I am perhaps one of those odd Christians but to tell you the truth I don’t really have any favorite Christian bands, however; I have come to like TFK.

I do not like Contemporary Christian music for the most part. When it comes to musical genera’s I like the following:
Progressive House
Trance
Techno
Rock
Hard Rock
Heavy Metal
Rap (Old school and only a few artist)
Country (The only Country I like is by Johnny Cash and Mindy Smith)
Classical (Mostly from movie scores)
Pop (Mostly 80’s Pop)

There may be more genera’s I like but those are the only ones I can think of.

I would like to point out that even though I really only listen to secular music I am mindful of what I listen to.
