Many companies now a days have been running ad campaigns that focus on one or more "Characters" to promote their products. Rob Lowe comes to mind as one for DirecTV.

Personally, my favorite will always be White Gold from the Milk commercials.

What is your favorite character?
 
Pete is a good one but he takes second place. First place must go to the little boy walking under the massive oak tree clutching a huge, full size, carton of Orio Cookies, singing, "Little girls have pretty curls but I love Orios." To this day I smile, remembering the visual, and sing the jingle.
