Well i don't have a favorite colour.... Burgundy's tend to go best with my skin tone.... A building should never be painted blue
Jeeps look good Tonka yellow but not Mercedes .....White fences and blueblack horses... The deep red of a single rose given in love...The gold of the quaky aspen sparkling in the sun... Rootbeer brown/cream of a 56 Chevy.....Don't have a favorite....

You are right about the context of color!
This is what I kind of meant earlier when I referred to automobiles, wallpaper, clothing, tattoos.
And yes, some car brands do look strange in certain colors.
Interiors of houses can look vastly different for realtor sales purposes, according to the color scheme (so the color you see, when buying, doesn't necessarily reflect the householder's favorite). Sometimes a realtor, before putting someone's house on the market, will tell the seller up front: You really do need to get rid of that wallpaper, or it won't sell; trust me! (How many times did you hear a similar comment? (These may be wise words to which the seller needs to pay attention.)
Lastly, your skin tone comment is significant, which brings me indirectly to this:
A tattoo's color will often fade in time and this is why it may need to be periodically touched up by further trips to go under the needle. Some women assume that they should just go for their favorite color flower designs, but it needs to be remembered that black provides for an excellent, rugged minimalism in tribal-style tattoos, for example, and if they are first timers they may be surprised to learn that among the most beautiful and effective designs that they could receive is a black tribal.
Blessings.
