Joshua 1:9 - Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Distractions, reasoning, fear, and doubt are tools the devil uses to rob us from achieving God's promises. Joshua was successful in battle because he realized that every victory begins in the heart. Victories are never won rehearsing past failures or running from battle, they are won by continually meditating on God's Word and doing the Word.

Psalm 23:4,5 - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over."

Affirmation

Because God is with me, every adversity I face will unfold in victory as I maintain my faith in God! The battle I am in will soon become a meal to me, an experience that will nourish and build me up spiritually.

Mark 4:26 - So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground.

Affirmations

I don't sit around waiting for God to produce my harvest. I find precious promises from the word of God and plant them in my heart and in my life.

I start watching over my land (my heart and my mind) to keep it moist, watered with the word, and free from weeds (unforgiveness, doubt, fear and discouragement)

2 Peter 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exeeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

All Fear is rooted in the notion that God's promises won't come to pass. Fear of poverty is really fear that Philippians 4:19 (concerning God providing all my needs) won't work. Fear of sickness is really the fear that 1 peter 2:24 (concerning god's promise to heal me) won't work.

Observation

I know that God is motivated by my faith and not my fears. As I hear God's word and receive it, faith will come. Likewise if I listen to and receive satan's word's, fear will be amplified in my life. Since I have a choice --I choose faith!

I just bookmarked this. You don't know how much i needed to read this. God bless you :thumb

1 Cor 2:1-5
1 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. NAS

God gave Paul to minister the gospel in this way. Paul planted, Apollos watered, God gave the increase.

The Seed is planted through the blood. It is watered by the Word. God increases it by the Spirit.

Paul was of the Pharisaical background, by his own confession in Acts 23:6.

Apollos' background is stated: Acts 18:24 "And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. KJV

Paul is the only apostle, of which I am aware, that God gave him to minister in weakness, fear and trembling until finally at Rome after he had given a witness at the capital others around him forsook him as it is written in the letter of 2 Timothy 4.

Joshua 1:9 - Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest
Awesome! Great words to live by in this day and age.

Galatians 1:10 - If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Observation

If I am to walk with Christ I need to be delivered from the fear of man, the compulsion to be accepted by men, and the motive of wanting to receive anything from them.

Acts 6:4 - But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

1 Corinthians 13:4,5 - Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.

When I release love into a situation, I have released God into it -- Jesus becomes responsible for it's success.
I release love every moment into every situation, every prayer and every thought until it totally consumes my life. It will strengthen me and cast out every fear that has robbed me of God's greather blessings. It will drive the devil out of my affairs and set me free from every torment of darkness.

Job 3:25 - For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Observation

Fear is faith in satan, believing in his ability to hurt me.
