[__ Prayer __] Federal Spending Bill/Preventing A Government Shutdown/April 28th

So this week Lawmakers are in a rush to get a spending bill or a "stop-gap" bill passed by the 28th to prevent a government shutdown. Of course there are various programs being considered including health care, border security/the wall, military spending, Planned Parenthood, etc.

I am doing some serious praying this week for this, and I am asking others to do the same. I am praying the Lord will guide the president and our lawmakers and give them the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to eventually get a spending bill passed that will benefit the Church and our nation. :amen

Remember, praying Christians, one key component of effective prayer strategy is to pray that the Lord will raise up a multitude of other like-minded praying Christians. That is prayer multiplied.

Consider also how critically important that praying Christians are in bringing forth God's plans. For example:
Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

In consideration of the previous verse, we should ask ourselves something very important: If God works through our prayers to bring forth necessary laborers, than what other aspects of God's plans will not come forth unless Christians bring it forth through prayer? Each one of you is a necessary link in a long chain of prayer that is a rising throughout the US, and I believe, in other nations as well.

God needs you. This is not any more apparent than is revealed in the Scriptural doctrine of prayer and the necessity of the prayers of the saints. Don't ever think that God does not need you as some have claimed. For God has chosen to work through the prayers of the saints.

Was not even the birth of Christ preceded by the prayers of the saints? Consider Simeon and Anna. I believe they were likely praying for the Messiah to come forth into the world (Luke Chapter 2).
