Feelings of something to come

I have been getting a deep feeling (which I hope is from God, I believe it is) that something is about to happen very soon... I really feel in my heart that the End Times are upon us.... Has anyone else been feeling this....? Not just hype, but really feeling this?
 
I've been feeling it since 9/11. Whether my feelings are valid, I don't know, but last week, I have decided to give me life completely to God. I'm getting involved in the children's ministry, my children are getting baptised (they were saved last year), I'm listening to Christian music (and I actually like it!), etc.

I want to make sure myself and my kids are ready for his return. I look forward to his return also! I can't wait!!!!! What a wonderful day that will be!!!! I don't want my kids growing up in this world.
 
Every generation has had these "feelings". The whole millerite movement in the 1800's was due to these "feelings". I am not above them as I cannot see how the current state of the world can continue indefinitely. It could well end tommorrow and I would be less than surprized. But then again it could go on for another 1000 years. I doudt it. I will say this. His coming is one day closer than yesterday. :)
 
Indeed, this type of talk has been ongoing since the time of Christ. Every time someone suspects the end times are near, the time passes and speculation begins anew.

Sure enough! Not "the end" perhaps, but another birth pang is about to happen. Keep your eyes on Florida. God is about to do something here that will make being hit with eight hurricanes in two years pale in comparison.

Sure enough! Not "the end" perhaps, but another birth pang is about to happen. Keep your eyes on Florida. God is about to do something here that will make being hit with eight hurricanes in two years pale in comparison.

I also think you should keep an eye on the norther california/oregon coast lines when the cascadia fault line lets go..... entire east coast when canary islands landslide occurs.... and more important, china and iran when 200 million man army goes on the offensive!

What concerns me is the: lack of mention of this in the day to day life of all the churches I have ever attended - it seems it is always individuals who raise interest in the immanent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I also agree with the more cautious responses - what I refer to is 'living in the expectancy of the Lords coming' and looking for the fulfilment of prophesy 'before' the day of the Lord.

Makes me glad I moved! Four of those 'canes was enough for me! (Plus, it's the only state in the union where you have to go north to find southern hospitality).

But...what causes you to make that speculation, Gabby??
 
I've known feelings like that from time to time. Like something's about to happen not knowing when or what. And at first it felt like the End Times were just around the corner.
One needs to remember that once you know Christ the world around you is not yours. You're a stranger, just passing through. You're heart is searching, waiting in hope for the day you finally arrive home, where you belong.
These feelings are real. No doubt in my mind about that. "Soon" doesn't have to be tomorrow, next week or next year. It's been said a lifetime passes in the blink of an eye, a wisp blown away by a gust of wind. The event one may feel pending could well be the passing from here to the promised country, the Kingdom of God, mingled with the certainty you will one day be there.
Indeed, for me it will be the "End Times" but on a very personal level.

There have been many prophesies about Florida. I wish I could find a source where they were given, and that shows that they have come to pass. Many of them had to do with the eight hurricanes, nine if you count Andrew. There was a call to repentance and a reminder that the church is to be the salt and light. The church has been complacent, delegating responsibility to law enforcement. The prophesies were given over ten years ago. Like most prophesies, everyone laughed, until they started to come to pass.

Even after the hurricanes, FEMA trailer parks became oppressed with drugs and crime. There has been a lot of vandalism to the trailers. The government plan was to sell or reuse the trailers, but many of them can not be reused.

The hurricanes come and go in a matter of hours, and that is the part that makes the news, with an occasional follow up to the damage. It is rare that the effects that last are reported, such as the damage to crops. The trees that were up rooted are kindling in fire season. Citrus growers have battled weather and disease for years. At least one major citrus plant is moving out of Florida.

Florida has been a mob stronghold for a long time. A quick glance at a map would show that Florida is the closest state to places like Cuba and Venezuela. Lots of port cities, and it is rumored that there is a lot of traffic between Florida and near by corrupt countries and islands.

Having said that, I suggest a prayer be offered now and then for the Coast Guard.

Saying it one more time' there are certain things that have to be fulfilled first. But we are close' I feel. Because this place is just like the pre deluge time of Noah.
 
Live each day as the Lord will come today, therefore you are always prepared. Each day someone dies and is taken to Heaven. So whether it be the rapture or our dieing, each day all of us are one day closer to meeting the Lord Jesus Christ...

We should be feeling the resurrection power of God working in us to wash, cleanse, sanctify and purify us in order to prepare us for the rapture.
