Yes, for Canadians it's Thanksgiving today (6 weeks before US Thanksgiving).

Last night the preacher at our local church spoke on the Biblical theme of giving thanks. Very apt!
 
PS: I think in the US Columbus Day is the corresponding calendar holiday to Canadian Thanksgiving.
