It has recently been announced that new technology may allow the harvesting of fetal stem cells without destroying the embryo.

Q - Would you approve of stem cell research if the cells can be extracted without destroying the embryos?

That was interesting, I wonder if they will pass this into legislation and over rule the Bush Admin?

I first heard about this on the PBS show, Religion and Ethics. Other countries are taking this approach as well. I still have concerns though. Could this type of research help advance cloning research?

See that is my concern as well. I don't agree with the advancements that will lead off from this type of research. If this was allowed in 20yrs from now it would be as simple as a woman going to the clinic to abort a child, it will be the norm. This rises great concern with me as well. But on the other hand I know that this will have beneficial factors with MS, Graves Disease etc
