Well, the article says tanning bed use is down, but so is sunscreen use. Down 17.1% less teens using sunscreen, or for every 100 that used it back in 2001, about 83 use it today. Glad to see that there's hope for the younger generation, and they can see thru the merchandizing ploy that is bedfellows with the Woman of Revelation 17. At least I hope they see the light (and the sun :lol), and it's not because they don't care. I don't know. I did not talk to any personally. But boy, the merchandisers, in bed with the medical world, are really relentless in pushing their tripe. Next thing ya know, they will mandate sunscreen spread on the kids --- that's what you have to do when a bankrupt and abysmal philosophy is not believed by anyone any longer, they then have to show their might by forcing on people. We haven't come to that yet, thankfully.

This report must not be including any findings in New Jersey.

Now here's an article that says that teen sunscreen use dropped by about 12%. The number of teens using the sunscreen was 67.7% in 2001 compared to 56.1% close to today (2011).

This is what I hate about statistics and the reason I don't believe them. Earlier I said it was a drop of 17.1% using the same figures. They say only about 12%. Who is right? I am. Of course. It's a 12% drop of the total population of teens (some which have not been using sunscreen to begin with), not those that are using sunscreen. So this article is one example that shows they just spit out figures to try to convince us. As I often say, the definition of statistics is the so-called mathematical science that tries to convince us of what we know is untrue to be true. Or to put it another way, a political/economic agenda with an impressive formula.

It must be that new common core math. Too bad they can't do math correctly because my figures would sound more dire and they'd jump at that opportunity with glee to show how bad things are getting. But from my end, I'm glad it's higher because it shows recognition and progress is being made -- at least I hope.

Wasn't Dracula afraid of the sun too? Next werewolves appear only at night; maybe they're on to something, and when those teens see hair growing on their feet they'll quit the sun like a bad day, and begin howling at the moon instead. :shrug

LOL. I don't think it's the teens that are Draculas. I think it's more those giving advice to use the sunscreen. I joked before that they will probably melt in the sun and turn into a skeleton like Dracula. So just because they are sensitive to the sun, I guess they figure everyone else is and make a one-size-fits-all proposal for everyone to follow.

well see I live in florida where a day such as today had the high with the heat factor close to 100f or over. go ahead and burn that skin. im out in the sun for at least 6 hours during the work day. I think I have seen sun spots on my legs. they are gone now.
