Final Fantasy freak here. Awesome awesome game, although I must say I still think VI was better. I just went back and replayed this a month ago in anticipation of the upcoming DVD, and I was amazed at how bad the graphics look now. I remember being in awe of them when it first came out---now its just like VI--outdated graphics but great gameplay. First of the series with insane sidequests and extra bosses---spent just as much time getting/mastering all the materia and defeating the weapons as I did in beating the normal part of the game.

I spent wayyyy too much time playing this game. The first time I beat it without many of the items. Then I went back through again and picked up everything there was in the game. Breeding chocobos was annoying. I can't justify spending that much time in a video game ever again.
(160 hours of gameplay :o for the 2 times through) That is one solid week of my life, wow!

I played it a long time ago. In fact, it was the last FF I finished. Of the FFs from 1-7, I can honestly say that 7 was one of the better ones. Aeris' fate was just awful. But despite all the drama in 7, 3 is my all time favourite.

I haven't played any of the more recent ones. They seem to be getting longer and longer to complete, and who has the time for them?

3!
Isn't that the one that wasn't released in the U.S.
Well who cares,
They're putting it on the DS :P

Now you've gone and done it. I knew the FF numbering was messed up in some ways because some of the games in Japan aren't numbered the same in N. America, so I went on this whole internet search looking for answers. I have now emerged even more confused. :-?

I'll just say that my favourite was the one for SNES - #6 according to the link below:

My First Favorite Video Game!

This is the game that helped me fall in love with gaming. My fisrt extra carricular achievment in gaming came when I beat the game on both quest with out stoppig or dying once. I played straight through, at the age of 7. Can any one match that?

I am in love with all Final Fantasy games, I consider myself a guru. Advent Children comes out in 107 days WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

contra without the konomi cheat, died twice and super mario with no warp tunnels, died once. i dunno if it matches but it's the same league.

Me. Whoever wants to play the game. A long game isn't a bad thing.

A person doesn't need to play 5 hours a day or anything, just treat a good cinematic game like a movie and play a few hours once or twice a week or so.

I finished FF7, 8, 9, and 10. My fav was 10. That game deserves a movie. Epic. 8-)

Final Fantasy VII, completly awesome game. Beat it five times as well as FFVIII, XI, X, and X-2. I think Sephiroth was one of the best worse villians ever. Sephiroth's evil plan was to summon Meteor in order to become God, and the name Sephiroth is from the Kabbala and is a name for God.

But one of my all time favorites. The Turks, Hojo, Shinra, Weapons, I could just go on LOL.

I've played this before but not very far. I know the storyline pretty much and I know a bunch of the chars. My friends play it all the time though, so I usually watch them. Love the music from this game though! Go Sephiroth!! wOOt!

Yes i like FF7, the storyline was really good, but my most fave final fantasty game would have to be FFX, then FF7 (i havent played FF9 yet, is it good!?)

you generally find time to play a games as good as ff7

This "game" is simply unplayable. It's over-rated status is a sad testament to the current gaming paradigm that the story, plot twists and cut scenes (which belong in a movie) should take precedence over gameplay.

That's my old-school rant.

did ne1 consider the fact that this person actually might not seriously play games or maybe it was the fact that he cant play it and the easiest game he has played is sonic the hedgehog (no i am not knockin it)

Though this is my first post, it's well put on an FF7 poll. The game was amazing and will keep amazing people throughout our lifetimes...
