We can now walk into the store and freely walk( no charge) out with over the counter meds? Bandages etc? its free right?

Everything isn't free there offering free birth control, pap smears, mammograms, prenatal care....things like that not everything.

Health care that helps to stop abortion in this free sex society is a good thing.

Those things may be free to some but some one else is paying the bill.

I resent like crazy any of my tax dollars going to support abortion..

The RRC now has to in a round about way pay for abortions not good...

When ever the government 'gives' something to the people the people pay one way or another...

Im excited for this being that I havent had health coverage in a few months and its important to take care of your whole body. Hopefully this will cut down on the number of children being created by people who arent ready! Im wondering how long its going to take until its officially available. Finally some decent news for healthcare!

Reeses,

This applies to existing health insurance policies. If you don't have health insurance, it's not going to mean anything for you.

Massachusetts has a state healthcare policy already. Why isn't that something you can take advantage of?

In any event, even if this policy was made to cover every woman in the country, regardless of other existing health insurance coverage, these service wouldn't be free. The costs would just be shifted to someone else.

Good free healthcare

We need to talk. There is no such thing as free health care.
Here is a list of things you can get for free:

Sunshine, Rain, Air, Wind.

I sat here for several minutes and cannot think of anything else.

In some instances, healthcare has become quite unaffordable. My last hospital stay cost $18000. Insurance paid $10,400 and the hospital cut the insurance a break - so I was only billed $4000. I STILL didn't want to pay it, so I negotiated with them and ended up paying $2200.

Now, I admit that without that stay I would have died. You would think I'd be willing to pay ANYTHING! But, you would be wrong.

The answer is not "Free Health Care", the answer is a more open, less regulated and more competitive health care market.

It really bothers me to meet someone who actually believes the nonsense about "free health care". Please really ask yourself, "How are these people being paid? They can't really work for free - I wonder who is paying them and where that money is coming from".
