John 19:30
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

What is the all-important aspect of the Finished Work of Christ?

I think that he allows us to approach God because of His sacrifice
.
Matthew 27:50-51 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.

I think that I need to meditate on the fact that before Jesus I wouldn't even be able to go into the temple where God dwelled. I can approach his holiness even though I could never be as holy as He. I can approach the purest being even though I am not wholly pure. It's so crazy!!! I can be as I am, address Him, and he overlooks my sin because of Christ. So, so amazing. Why don't more people want to know this God?

Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:10-11 (NKJV)
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

What is the all-important aspect of the Finished Work of Christ?

As it pertains to the example of His Cross, it is a picture of our own end in the flesh.

God has A Divine Pattern that He Strictly Adheres to. That pattern is this: First the natural, THEN the Spiritual. 1 Cor. 15:46. This "pattern" is shown throughout the scriptures.

When we see/hear Jesus in the above, the NATURAL man Jesus' days ended, finished. There is no way to describe how much is behind the working therein. We can not conceive of it all. But the Working of God in Christ continues on, regardless. Heb. 4:12. Was Jesus finished? No. There were somethings that were settled, eternally, at His Cross.

What is the all-important aspect of the Finished Work of Christ?
(1) Christ destroyed death by His death and resurrection. All of mankind will be raised incorruptible and immortal.* (1Cor 15: 51-54)
(2) Christ reconciled the world to God by His death and resurrection. (2 Cor 5:17-18)
(3) Christ, as the "second Adam" established a new race of God-bearing people (Bearers of the Father, Son [Jn 17:23] and Holy Spirit. [Jn 14:16-17]) who are those who are re-born as His brothers and sisters, (Ro 8:29)
(4) He established the Kingdom of God (Mat 28:18) and His continued presence on the earth in the Church which is His body. ( Eph 5:23, Col 1:18, 24)

*Everyone's eternal situation as immortal and incorruptible human beings will be based on what (s)he did with the gift of God's salvation. (Mat 25:31-46, Jhn 5:28-29 and Ro 6:2-10 )

The finished work of Christ is that all can have eternal life with the Father through confession of our faith that is in the blood of Jesus by His sacrifice we are washed clean again and made righteous by that of Gods righteousness. John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9,10; Romans 5:19
