Five Verses...our beginning and our end

In the following five verses from Revelation there is a wealth of information and it contains our past, present and future. Our beginning and end.

Revelation 12:1-5 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne.

This first post is about the first question:

The Bible isn’t a history of the world but rather it is His-story. It is about Jesus and His family and how He pertains to the world. He is the sun, Light…Satan is the moon, darkness and we are the stars.

• Genesis 1:16-18 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
  
  John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.â€
  
  1 Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

So, the “woman†is “clothed with the sun.†She is clothed with Christ.

• 11 Corinthians 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
  
  Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

The woman stands upon the moon….â€the moon under her feet.†Why?

• Genesis 3:13-16 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, “Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every east of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.†Unto the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee.â€

The serpent is the lesser light/darkness/moon. He bruised the heel of Christ but Christ in His family, Light in His children, will put “the moon under her feet.†The “head of the woman†is Christ. He is her Husband and “shall rule over†her/us.

• 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
  
  Zechariah 14:4 And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The head of every man (child) is Christ. The head of the woman is the man (child) for the Spirit speaks through them to the woman. The Head of all is Christ and He is our Father. There is NO gender implied. There is neither male nor female in Christ. The feet of Christ, as shown in Zechariah....who are God's elect, will bruise the serpent in that day.

• Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Lastly..."upon her head a crown of twelve stars."

• Revelation 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Above we saw who the Head of the woman is and that Head has twelve stars. Here we see that upon His head are "many crowns." The woman is Israel, all those that love Him, and her Head is Christ and His crowns are the twelve stars....Israel. One body of Christ!

Next....the great red dragon.

#2....What or who is the above "great red dragon" having seven heads, horns and crowns?

Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ( 5 ) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

• Just as the woman Israel, is in the wilderness where she is fed [Rev.12:6 - 666] so is the beast where the "other woman" sits, the one that causes adultery/idolatry. Israel, the body of Christ, must choose which table she dines from...that of the beast or of God.

17:8-9 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. (4) And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"

• Notice the separation. There is "the dragon" and there is "the beast." Not one and the same here although the dragon gives power to the beast. The difference is this beast rises from the sea. The other mention, the one "thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition," ascends from the pit.

13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

• So, we have two beasts…A scarlet beast from the earth and one from the sea and a great red dragon in heaven that gives power to one beast and speaks as himself in the other beast. The earth and sea are symbolic for masses of humanity. The two beasts arise from and are....people, led by the dragon.

  Psalm 104:25-27 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom Thou hast made to play therein. These wait all upon Thee; that Thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
  
  Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the DUST OF THE GROUND, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
  
  Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and DUST shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
  
  Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and DUST shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Leviathan, the Serpent, the Dragon, the Devil and Satan play in this sea of life....he dines on mankind, the dust of the ground. He rules the beast from the sea...he rules the beast from the earth....they are his. [/list:u:pc00vzyq]

The question of this thread, is "#2....What or who is the above "great red dragon" having seven heads, horns and crowns?" He is Satan in heaven and he "has" the two beasts, of the sea and of the earth, under his control. He rules the worldly system, the first beast of Revelation and speaks for the second beast....a religious beast. He looks like the Lamb, looks like a Christian but....he speaks as the dragon.....with deception.

Returning to the OP....the "great red dragon" wants the "woman clothed with the sun" to be his...to worship him instead of the Savior and he uses his two beasts to accomplish this. Will she or will she place him "under her feet?" He stands before her, Israel the church, now as she is travailing with the birth of the man child.

#3 What or who is the tail of the great red dragon?


The great red (fire like) dragon is Satan. He is not the same as the “scarlet beast.†Scarlet, as used there, means…

• Scarlet #2847 ~ from the kernel-shape of the insect; crimson-colored; scarlet…#2848 a primary word; a kernel of seed; corn, grain.

At the end of this age the two beasts, the one world political system and Satan's role as the false prophet, which I see as the religious beast, are destroyed. Satan will never again be able to use that power. But…the dragon/serpent/devil/Satan lives on.

• Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
  
  Revelation 20:2 And He laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The dragon is the serpent is Satan. But what is the distinction in the serpent and the dragon? Both are Satan and yet they are separate. His unholy trinity.

• Exodus 4:3-4 And He said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

Moses, a type for the man child, is instructed to take the serpent by it's tail. The serpent has a tail...the dragon has a tail.

• Isaiah 9:13-15 For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts. Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

The false prophet, the religious beast that will be thrown alive into the lake of fire...is the tail of the great red dragon or of the serpent....or both.

From the bottomless pit, “there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth,†[Rev.9:4] to hurt men (deceive men)…but only those without the seal of God. These children of God were sealed as written in [Ezekiel 9:1-4]. They are the witnesses, those in mourning clothes. Of the locusts….

• Revelation 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. (19) For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

  Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
  
  Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

The tails are scorpions...the false prophets that dwell among us. The power is "in their mouth" for they hurt with spiritual deception. They deceive God's children. The heads of the locusts are the mountains/nations....one world system and it's leaders under the great red dragon's control. But, we have power over them!!! We tread on them or, in other words....we are the woman with the "moon under her feet."

• Revelation 12:13-16 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness into her place, where she is nournished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

• 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Is this the false prophet, the role the dragon plays when cast "unto the earth?" Is this him alone or in his body of believers...the many antichrists?

This happens at the end of days for here the man child has been "brought forth." The woman no longer travails in birth. The serpent cast a flood from it's mouth and so does the dragon. The earth swallowed the flood of the dragon...but nothing is said of the flood of the serpent.

Biblical waters can be living waters or a flood of deception and lies....or a flood of armies.

Living Water....

• Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Poisoned Water....

• 8:10-11 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

People waters.....

• 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

What are the waters/people/nations the whore sitteth upon? On the scarlet beast of [Rev.17:3] The beast from the bottomless pit. The first beast...the one world political system and the nations under the control of the dragon. They are the flood the "dragon cast from his mouth." The earth opens her mouth and swallows these people, the army of the dragon. This event is foretold in [Ezekiel 38 & 39]. It is the battle of Gog and Magog, called The Valley of Hamon-gog.

The serpent's flood is a flood of poisoned water, deception! The woman is away from the face of the serpent...but the tail, the false prophet, feeds her lies, mistruths and deception. The man child, as Moses, is to take the serpent by his tail, take the false prophets and defeat them with His truth!

• Isaiah 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

The dragon in the sea of humanity is killed, so it is not the great red dragon for he and...the serpent, although punished...live on.

The "old serpent" from the beginning beguiled the woman Eve. The same old serpent today beguiles the woman Israel....the church.

The head of the dragon or serpent are the leaders, the body is the main group, and the tail is those who follow. Stars are symbolic for men; in the scripture you used it is applied to the people of God. The earth is also called a heaven. The word heaven literally means place-s. Came down or cast down simple means present in this world. People come down through the birth canal into this heaven (world.) People and things are cast down to the ground in destruction. The word "Satan" means adversary. In the end our adversaries will be cast down.
