Here we go again. The medical world puts out a "study" (which I doubt many of them understand rudimentary statistics, but that's another story) that claims there is no evidence vitamin D protects from cancer. When I read deeper into the article, I caught something that I suspected. They gave their subjects something like 800 units of vitamin D a day --- way too low, and then they say "it does not help". Ever notice every time people discover how a vitamin helps (as with me, who is a lot healthier than as a youth), there are those who "debunk" it. Of course they do. They rather play God and the hidden message is man-made drugs are better for you to cure illness than God-given natural things.
As a matter of fact, they established the upper safe limit at 4000 units. That's hogwash. I take over 6000 daily during the winter, but will admit that's nothing compared to what I can get in the sun if I don't put on any sunscreen. I can manufacture 10,000 to 20,000 units in a short time, and I stay in the sun many times longer during the summer. My skin has "eyes" that detect harmful ultraviolet rays from our star and then I secrete chemicals that act as a natural sunblock which is why I only get a little red the first time, and tanned thereafter.
