It is no secret that [an overwhelmingly large amount of the] Christian community is not showing godly practices over all. I have observed over 30 years and Billy Graham backs up my observation by his statement of "most of the churchgoers are not committed".

We have millions of problems because of uncommitted christian lives.

We have accepted practice of not to focus on the problems. It is not acceptable accoding to the Bible. The Bible tells us to expose the evil deeds fo darkness.(Eph 5:11)

I don't see anyone doing this task. Just because we don't focus on them, the problems will go away, instead it will become worse and worse: I know it is becoming worse IMHO.

I am asking everyone to understand what I am doing. When we are not committed Christians we cannot be a good witnesses for the Lord which is our main mission. I am doing what He wants me to do and alarm people not to cooperate with the satan. Satan loves bad witnesses and uncommitted christians.

I am showing how most of us are being bad witnesses.

I will be in deep trouble with the Lord if I am exaggerating or lying as you all know.

Let's let Him be the judge if I am in line with the Lord.

Sincerely,

in Jesus' name, hitomi

My wife works at a Christian school and we have been blessed by the Christian community. Two of the teachers recently came after work and helped me remove the crumbling steps to my house because I have little money to fix them. They are going to help me put in wooden steps, Lord willing. We do what we can together because we all are in this together and we don't have the money for everything so we help each other out.

I've been doing evangelism since 1986-1987 and I've asked people to come along side of me. If I can do it, I can show other people how to do it. I write Christian articles and Bible studies.

Amen, it is truly sad how far to few churches really teach their congregation how to evangelize.

I find it amazing that you would use a quote from Bill as a means to validate your point. Bill believes that 'anyone' that says they are Christian are Christians regardless of their fruit.

Thank you imagican for your input. :D

Here is parable about what God's servants should do with the talents that God has given him.
Matthew chapter 25:
5 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and dig in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants comes, and reckons with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are an hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not strewed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: see, there you have that is yours.
26 His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed:
27 You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him which has ten talents.
29 For to every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has.
30 And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Ginger- I think this parable proves your point. Your reward will be decided by how you multiply your talents gave you. If God has given you a gift you should add to that gift. Maybe God gave you gift of high intelligence, then you should study and learn the Bible and God's Word and add on the what you already know. If you have the gift of preaching, then you should become a better preacher and use that gift to win others to God. If you have the gift of Faith, then you should increase your faith. And so on.

The Bible tells us to watch out for false prophets. There are many false doctrines and false brethren abound. The only way to tell is to look for the fruit.

The false brethren are wearing sheeps' clothings.

They can quote the Bible very well too. That does not necesarily mean they are quoting biblically.
