No, it's an honest-to-goodness, three axis, high wing, tail dragging, tractor...... although, I am enamored by those Powered Parachutes.its not one of those powered parachutes?
we have three or more of those powered parachutists here that take photos for a fee and as a hobby. No, it's an honest-to-goodness, three axis, high wing, tail dragging, tractor...... although, I am enamored by those Powered Parachutes.
That's interesting, I had no clue all those old airports existed. I thought for sure the old one in Seattle would be the current Boeing Field, but guess not.http://www.airfields-freeman.com/index.htm

You'll have to make it more difficult for me next time. haha
I will look in this area and see if I can uncover some more.
How about NE of Zoo Miami?View attachment 5692
there are more.
I know one and I have seen the remnants. let see if you can see it. it will be hard
close look real hard and you have that link, I suggest using it and then you will see it. the images of that place is a magical place as it describes an event I saw as a kid when I went there when the cia was doing that. but you are real close., real close. How about NE of Zoo Miami?
I "think" I might see a couple that might be, but I can not say for sure.are you referring to that open space to the ne that has those towers? I don't think that is part of it, it might be, but that is close to what is visible today and remains. this place was as storage site for zeppelins. it was destroyed in a fire.
go to the link that I sent to you and look around for Miami, It will have the story. once you do the have this very image there and you can see that clearly. its so obvious once you do that. I have been to that zoo and the rr station and also what they talk about. the cia with the cell phone towers and also when the cia was there. I didn't know what that was a kid, just the signs of the don't enter as this is a restricted area. dad would have us walk from that zoo that that area for "fun"I "think" I might see a couple that might be, but I can not say for sure.
I did look at the link and looked at the pictures, it's the last one in the Miami section, correct?go to the link that I sent to you and look around for Miami, It will have the story. once you do the have this very image there and you can see that clearly. its so obvious once you do that. post it and we shall see. that and my dad also is from Miami and old enough to remember that story of the fire and also would being that close to that time(48 when born and the blimp based closed in 41) would have heard it as I have about my town. which we have talked about.I did look at the link and looked at the pictures, it's the last one in the Miami section, correct?
It sounds like your Dad knew how to have "fun" - in an inexpensive way. haha
I saw that, too but did not read all of them. Will do so though.that link I sent you has stories about that area. I know I have looked.
the Miami area in question didn't have blimps at the time my dad was born. that base was abandoned after the fire. some parts of the hangers remain and they are huge. part of the blimp landing pad is still visible and also the tie downs. I have seen part of the hanger its a cell phone towerI'm old enough to remember still seeing a fair amount of blimps flying around here, maybe ten or 15 years after the war ended.
