For the abused and the abandoned

Have you escaped or are in an abusive situation? Does the pain of rejection, harmful words or actions, or abandonment keep flaring up from within?

Suffering from any of the above can be devastating to one's self worth, physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. And can many times be a hindrance to how we view God.

It has to be identified that the works of abuse or harm are never acceptable to God, nor do they come from God. This is the work of the enemy, and he does this in many ways. People causing this type of harm are point blank doing the enemies work.

I was a victim of this for the first 15 years of my life. I knew very little other than being locked in the basement or a dark room, and when in the common areas of the family there was only ever a buffet of mockery, guilt, condemnation, ridicule and the list goes on and on.

Jesus himself suffered unlike any other human and despised the shame of it!
Isaiah 53
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

This is how he can relate so well to the suffering and downcast for he walked in those sandals!

Are you depressed, overwhelmed, anxious or weary? Is it hard to hold your head up and see any hope?

Jesus says:

Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls, 30 because my yoke is pleasant, and my burden is light.”

I am living proof that he will restore you 100% and you will walk in victory and be able to tell others of his saving healing power!

God Bless!
