In the beginning, God reveals the cursing of the serpent, how the earth was cursed also, and that cursing is the bringing forth thorns and thistles. The serpents seed and the woman's seed, are against each other, the same as the earth is against thorns and the thorns against the ground.
In Judges, the bramble speaks, and how trust in the bramble, is the same as trusting in a shadow.
Genesis 3:14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Judges 9:15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
The tree is known by his own fruit, fruit is not thorns and brambles.
The enemy that sowed the tares, ( causing strife, through the earth bringing forth to us thorns and thistles.) is the devil, all things that offend and do iniquity, ( bringing forth thorns and thistles/bramble bushes.) are to be cast into a furnace of fire, then the righteous can shine forth in the Kingdom of their Father. ( delighting themselves in the abundance of peace, when the meek inherit the earth.)
Psalm 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
A man has to purge himself form those, to be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, meet for the masters use. Following righteousness, faith, charity, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
In meekness the instruction is to those who oppose themselves ( with strife/debate/contention/thorns, thistles, brambles.) so they may recover themselves out of that snare of the devil. ( which we saw the earth brought forth thorns and thistles because of that cursing of the serpent.)
Even though they have deceived with years of deceit on the forums everywhere, the falling away through that deception, is not forgiveable.
The earth drinks in the rain, and brings forth herbs meet for them, by whom it is dressed, ( if we purge from those, we would be to honour, meet for the Masters use.) receiving blessing from God.
But when we saw the earth would bring forth thorns and thistles, that is the cursing of the serpent, the earth cursed, and the serpents seed against the seed of the woman, that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, it is near to cursing, the end is destruction.
We have to be persuaded of better things that accompany salvation. ( anyone who continues ion the strife/debate/contention/thorns/thistles/brambles, of this forum, has not heard those things that accompany salvation.)
We are not terrified by those adversaries, as it is an evident token of perdition ( destruction) to them, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Hebrews 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
Philippians 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
