There are guys who are typical lovers of women or are very fond of women...they have thousands of female friends, best friends are also women. Same with some women towards men.

So can this be a problem? Can this be sincere? And these kind of guys, women get to be fond of them too. Such a guy receiving 100s of gifts from the women world.

My oldest daughter has a friend named Tom. When his wife gives him a birthday with all his friends, almost all of them are women. He and his wife have been married something like 30 yrs. they never had children. He likes women and women like him.

I don't know if it can work the other way or not. In my experience it is difficult to have most men as close friends. But I think that's because most men are not like Tom.

It depends on the people involved but it's easy to get or give the wrong idea.

Just realised that I have way more male friends than female ones.... and it has been like that since my teen years. It's probably because I share more "typical male" interest than "typical female". And I struggle with competitiveness when dealing with other women.

All I know is give me a male to work with any day than a female.Women tend to be catty and difficult to get along with.Men work on a different level.

I have no qualms being friends with either gender, but as it has turned out most of my friends are female and none of my especially close friends are male.
