Friendliness

Should Christians be friendly people, or should they expect everyone to bow down to them?

elijah23 -

What do you believe? How do you feel a Christian should conduct themselves to their family, friends and co-workers?

I think Christians should be friendly people who demonstrate to others why we should all be bowing down to Jesus Christ.;)

Living as Christians on a daily basis is something that we ought to do because one day the Lord is going to come back. If we chose to neglect to live even one day for Christ, that one day might be the day that Jesus returns! We cannot give up on following Christ for even one day because for all we know, our lives might end on that day.

I agree, we need to be watchful, alert and ready at all times Galatians 6:9. Though we may fail Him daily because we still live in our fallen flesh - our desire should be to confess our sins daily and repent of them.

<dir>Jas 4:4

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

I guess being "friendly" like alot of things depends upon our own motives?

<dir>1Jn 2:15

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
</dir>
1Jn 2:16

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

I think we can be friendly and not make ourselves a part of this world:wave

Thank you for the Scriptures, I agree that we can and should be friendly to all people, who live in the world but are not part of the world.

As it was with our Savior below, let it be with us; may we not be the one at fault. As our brother Elijah has asked, should we be friendly? 3 John 1:12 to me shows an example of that. "Demetrius hath good report of all men."

John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

John 15:25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Good Scripture Eugene -

Thank you brother
