Introduction

In a world increasingly marked by calls for religious unity and compromise, it is vital to discern the times. In this post, I reflect on a personal experience that gave me a deeper understanding of the spirit of Antichrist as described in Scripture.

There are Two Aspects of the Antichrist and the man Antichrist.

  1. The Spirit of Antichrist, which was already at work in the early Church, as mentioned in 1 John 4:3.

The spirit of Antichrist has subtly integrated into modern society today. Thousands upon thousands of people have unknowingly adopted this spirit. Here’s how:

They say, “We all know there is one God; He is just called by different names.”

Really? Let’s consider an example. Vivek Ramaswamy, a 2024 presidential candidate, appears to be a good man. He often emphasizes the importance of family and having God in the family.

However, Ramaswamy is of the Hindu Religion, and believes something many thousands of people hold to today: “There is only one God, and He is called by many names.”

While this mindset may seem inclusive and harmonious, it contradicts the truth revealed in the Bible. The spirit of Antichrist thrives in these subtle compromises, urging society to accept this view as harmless or even virtuous. In my book A Sure Word of Prophecy, chapter one delves much deeper into this.

  2. Then the Man Antichrist, just referenced here, who will soon be revealed, as described in Daniel 7, chapter 8, 9, and chapter 12, also 2 Thessalonians 2:4, also Revelation 13.

A Conversation That Opened My Eyes

One day, not long after I arrived in Thailand, Mr. Richardson, a Thai friend, visited our home. During his visit, I discussed finding a building to establish a church.
He smiled and asked, “You want to have a church building here?”
I said, “Sure,” explaining that my purpose in coming to Thailand was because the Thai people need to know who the True and Living God is—Jesus Christ is His Name. Referenced Matthew 1, also in Prophetic reference of the last days (Zechariah 14:9) "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Mr. Richardson appeared skeptical and asked, “Ah, what’s the big deal? Everyone’s god is the same; he is just called by different names.”
I responded, “So, you’re telling me we should all just hold hands, sing ‘Kumbaya,’ be one big happy family, and come together to worship your god, whether his name is Buddha, (most of Asia worship Buddha), Allah, (the Muslim god), Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, or Hare Krishna? (these are Hindu god's) Shiva is the sun-goddess of the Hindu religion.

The Bible Warns Us

I told Mr. Richardson that, while his perspective may seem appealing, gentle, comforting, and non-controversial, the Holy Bible warns against such a mindset, identifying it as the spirit of Antichrist. The Lord Jesus Himself proclaimed:

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” (John 8:24).

The following thoughts highlight how easy it is to be deceived by those who propagate this spirit of “going along to get along.”

Final Thoughts

The spirit of Antichrist is subtle but dangerous, often disguised as harmony and unity, also peaceful. But as believers, we must remain vigilant and anchored in the truth of God’s Word, proclaiming boldly that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

Yes. I was reminded in reading this about the martyrdom of Bartholomew, and how he exposed one of the "gods" being worshipped in India to be nothing more than a demonic spirit, whom he exposed and defeated before he was finally put to death.

I posted it elsewhere for reading purposes, and I would post it here, but I use a rough-looking image for that thread. So maybe I'll forego it. But the idea of demons having to be exposed and cast down as NOT being gods is very much in keeping with your thread I think. The gods are clearly NOT all the same, as the ones who are deceiving the nations are evil, even though they seduce the people into thinking they are not.

The Bible never defines just one antichrist, especially as in the capital A of Antichrist that many try to teach, but says even now there are many and in the end of days will be the last time, 1 John 2:18. We have to remember that Satan is a created spirit and needs to work through others in order to build his literal kingdom here on earth as the war in heaven between Michael and Satan has not happened yet, Rev 12:7-12. This will be a Luciferian system of political, economic, environmental, military, educational and false religious power that founded in 1534 with its headquarters in Rome, Italy that will sit upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north which is Jerusalem on the same Temple mount of God where the Dome of the Rock is being refurbished for the son of perdition to take its seat. This power of the beast out of the sea gives power to the beast out of the earth who will control the government of every nation on every continent and even now works its iniquity in the world, Rev 13.

The beast that will rise up out of the sea, as the sea here is symbolic of people and nations as in a sea of humanity, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Revelation 17:15, gives power to the beast that comes up out of the earth who is the last antichrist/ false prophet/son of perdition, 2Thessalonians 2:3-12.This beast is a Luciferian system comprised of economic, political, militant, environmental and false religious system. This beast system that Satan works through gives its power to the beast out of the earth as the beast out of the earth appears as the Lamb of God, but is a false Christ being the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 His works are the abomination that causes desolation that Jesus forewarned us of in Matthew 24:15 and Daniel who explained this last of the seven remaining nations that make up the four Empires beginning with Babylon that still exist today as mystery Babylon and has always persecuted God's people from the time of Babylon up to present day unto the end of days, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Matthew 24:15; Revelation 13; Revelation 17:15. This will be the time of the greatest falling away from truth as this last antichrist, through lying signs and wonders, will promise peace and safety and then sudden destruction comes upon them who bow down and takes the mark of this beast, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6.

Jesus said those who will endure in the faith of Christ unto the end the same shall be saved, Matthew 24:13. Satan said, I will ascend into heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God (other ruling powers) I will sit also upon the Mount of the Congregation in the sides of the north (Jerusalem). I will ascend above the clouds, I will be like the Most High, Isaiah 14:12-15. The last antichrist, (as there have been many and even now are in the world), is the son of perdition being the false prophet that Satan works through as he will sit on the sides of the North declaring himself as being God and will cause many to bow down to him and take his mark as many will believe the lying signs and wonders he will show, Rev 13. Again, nowhere in scripture does it capitalize antichrist, but mans misinterpretations capitalize it and makes it one Antichrist that we are to watch for before Christ returns.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Amen my brother, a very good post thank you.

Exactly. But this is where we are today—with this spirit of antichrist. I often hear people talk about God, yet they never use a name. This leaves the meaning open-ended, allowing for whatever or whoever others choose to believe in.

This approach is designed to be non-controversial, but Jesus said, "Ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake."

I learned this very early during my time in Thailand. Whenever I mentioned God in a sentence, I would always preface it with, "And His name is Jesus Christ." Otherwise, Thai people assumed I was referring to Buddha.

Now, having returned to the States, I see that same deceiving spirit is just as rampant here.

I noticed that some Muslims will attempt to use the same trick. The whole "Your God is my God" trick. Not the same God, and especially when you identify Him as Jesus Christ. With that, your God and their god are clearly NOT the same all of a sudden, LoL.

Muslims believe that the Quran was orally revealed by God to the final prophet Mohammad through the archangel Gabriel (Jibril) over a period of some 23 years beginning on Dec 22, 609 CE when Mohammad was forty years old and concluding in 632 the year of his death.

This is the same with many of the various 5000 plus religions that are in the world that claim their god is the true God. All one has to do is study the founding of these false religions to understand all the various god's they serve.
