Introduction
In a world increasingly marked by calls for religious unity and compromise, it is vital to discern the times. In this post, I reflect on a personal experience that gave me a deeper understanding of the spirit of Antichrist as described in Scripture. There are Two Aspects of the Antichrist and the man Antichrist.
- The Spirit of Antichrist, which was already at work in the early Church, as mentioned in 1 John 4:3.
The spirit of Antichrist has subtly integrated into modern society today. Thousands upon thousands of people have unknowingly adopted this spirit. Here’s how:
They say, “We all know there is one God; He is just called by different names.”
Really? Let’s consider an example. Vivek Ramaswamy, a 2024 presidential candidate, appears to be a good man. He often emphasizes the importance of family and having God in the family.
However, Ramaswamy is of the Hindu Religion, and believes something many thousands of people hold to today: “There is only one God, and He is called by many names.”
While this mindset may seem inclusive and harmonious, it contradicts the truth revealed in the Bible. The spirit of Antichrist thrives in these subtle compromises, urging society to accept this view as harmless or even virtuous. In my book A Sure Word of Prophecy, chapter one delves much deeper into this.
- Then the Man Antichrist, just referenced here, who will soon be revealed, as described in Daniel 7, chapter 8, 9, and chapter 12, also 2 Thessalonians 2:4, also Revelation 13.
A Conversation That Opened My Eyes
One day, not long after I arrived in Thailand, Mr. Richardson, a Thai friend, visited our home. During his visit, I discussed finding a building to establish a church. He smiled and asked, “You want to have a church building here?”
I said, “Sure,” explaining that my purpose in coming to Thailand was because the Thai people need to know who the True and Living God is—Jesus Christ is His Name. Referenced Matthew 1, also in Prophetic reference of the last days (Zechariah 14:9) "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Mr. Richardson appeared skeptical and asked, “Ah, what’s the big deal? Everyone’s god is the same; he is just called by different names.”
I responded, “So, you’re telling me we should all just hold hands, sing ‘Kumbaya,’ be one big happy family, and come together to worship your god, whether his name is Buddha, (most of Asia worship Buddha), Allah, (the Muslim god), Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, or Hare Krishna? (these are Hindu god's) Shiva is the sun-goddess of the Hindu religion.
The Bible Warns Us
I told Mr. Richardson that, while his perspective may seem appealing, gentle, comforting, and non-controversial, the Holy Bible warns against such a mindset, identifying it as the spirit of Antichrist. The Lord Jesus Himself proclaimed:The following thoughts highlight how easy it is to be deceived by those who propagate this spirit of “going along to get along.”“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” (John 8:24).
Final Thoughts
The spirit of Antichrist is subtle but dangerous, often disguised as harmony and unity, also peaceful. But as believers, we must remain vigilant and anchored in the truth of God’s Word, proclaiming boldly that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. What Do You Think?
