hello all, my name is Brian. i grew up in a Baptist home, and at 18 left home to go to a Baptist college in Jacksonville, FL. i got married in 2003, and got divorced in 2006 (2 1/2 years) due to homosexual behavior on my part. i fell into sin, trying drugs, abusing alcohol, etc. i moved to LA in Jun '07 to try to escape, but only found myself lonely, and deeper in debt. i moved back to Jacksonville in Oct '07, and moved into a halfway house, still trying to get back on my feet through my own power.
a year later, God moved in the hearts of two friends of mine (from college), and they offered me a place to stay for cheap. less than a week later, after having been mugged by one of my former "friends", i finally gave up trying, and accepted Jesus as my personal Savior on 10/08. i don't want this to come across as a sob story, but rather a praising testimony of where God brought me from. so hello to you, and i look forward to using this forum as a place to share my walk with God with other like-minded believers. and also as a safe haven to discuss theology and doctrine. ;)
