This is the newly commissioned USS New York. It's bow stem was made with 7.5 tons of steel from the wreakage of the World Trade Center. It is fifth in a new class of warship designed for missions that include special ops against terrorists. It has a crew of 360 and will also carry 700 combat ready Marines. It's motto: Never Forget.

As we move on from 9/11, let's not forget. Today on the radio shows the topic was whether or not we should continue to discuss 9/11 on this date. I think we should, as well as have special commemerations and services. I remember doing this on December 7th at school. I was disappointed to find that nothing was said at my son's school today, but our teachers step-father just passed away, so I can understand why not.

Dora, I completely agree! Thousands of lives were lost on that day, and America was changed forever. It would be a travesty on the parts of all Americans (even the immigrants) to forget what happened. If we forgot, we would also be doing HUGE damage to the families, who are just as much victims as those who died, by not remembering their families and friends. Some of those people were never found! I would want to be remembered.

Alzheimers is the biggest crime against humanity... Think of your life as a book, and each day a page is torn out of that book and thrown away. Given enough time, all you have left is the cover...

Our country is no different, and some things should never be forgotton. 911, the holocaust, and slavery are just three of many items that our nation should never forget, and kept in our memory.

The steel they used to make that ship Hmm, did you know that the 9/11 clean up was done by private sectors of the government and the steel melted down and destroyed with record breaking speed? Kind of makes me raise my eyebrow.

Wowww kind of leaves me speachless.... I was watching the three hour special of 9/11. My heart still just breaks. They had private video's where everyone came together who were filming the whole thing from various parts of the city, some in the streets, some high in their own buildings, some with zoom up lenses, and Lord the people jumping, oh dear God my heart just broke at their despair. Firemen wondering what the sound was on the roof one after the other, it was people jumping. Some of these zoom up lenses you could identify these people before they jumped. Dear God how can these terriost claim to serve God Almighty when they destroyed so many lives and homes.....and the point proven? Yeah they're animals! "without insulting the animal kingdom"
I got to stop my gutts are tearing me up again, and that feeling of wanting to cry all over again. Lord such evil done.....yeah where's the kudos in that for HIM? Geezzzzz those people are crazy!

Kudos HIM,
Carol <><
