Ugh I thought it was a fuel pump issue and the darn ignition switch is bad .it won't rub the fuel pump unless it's in start .it should run in both.not only that a dealer part to replace the broken module ugh.

My poor brother.

some fuses in fuse box allow electrical flow with ignition on and some like lighter radio work like you want move it to a different fuse if you want it to run in both postions.

Good luck with that, Jason. Those schematics are written in a language unknown to most mortal men.
I understand them.just will verify that in the on position other things shouldnt work either.I also have a power probe.I can send power to test circuits. I just hate knowing the mistake I have made has cost my brother.

It does work in both run and start by design, but when in the run position it kills the power to the pump.

Don't beat yourself up, my friend. Not everything is clear cut and obvious.

He has found the part needed, hopefully that pump won't be too pricey.i will rip apart seats and a column tommorow to find the electric issue and to install the pump

The steering column isn't hard to uncover to get to the ignition switch. I will use the prove to verify the circuit.

Since I'm automotive-repair challenged, I'm more than willing to pay my mechanic to take care of any problem. Thankfully, he's willing to make house calls!

It'd be a piece of cake to wire in an 8 dollar multi-purpose relay under the hood to do just that, using both the normally open/normally closed terminals. :woot

Just pick up the coil wire off the ignition wire and run the other coil wire to ground.
Might be hillbilly but it'd work good.

Yes if the ignition wire was itself not ran off the same terminal as the ignition switch.

Well you could identify the wire from run and use it alone without using NC on the relay.

I'm with air dancer on this. While I can do this stuff if I have to, I gladly pay someone else to work on my vehicle. I absolutely hate working on autos.
