Have any of you gone full time at your college/university?
What was it like?
How did you prioritize your time? How many hours did you spend on each class?

I'm doing full time w/ Liberty online starting in may. In the past, I did full time as a teenager at a state school. In terms of time management, it really depends. Some classes are fluff and require less time, others will need more time than you'd ever want to give, lol.

I wasn't the best student as a teenager (drugs+mental illness=FUN), but I did OK, surprisingly enough. My plan with the upcoming Liberty thing is to spend enough time on each class to stay ahead of the assignments and thoroughly understand the material. Luckily for me, most of my 6 classes (18 hours) this coming semester are in psychology or fields I'm familiar with. Probably not a big deal. I do, however, have 1 math class that looks daunting. I don't know that I can say, right now, "I will dedicate x hours to this class," but I can say that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make that A.

Are you doing this online or in person?

Online.

I tried in person in 2009 but I got sick and had to withdraw.

I want A's too. I have completed three English classes and I got all A's in them.

But you never know.

I am worried about Math too. I just don't have the brain for it!

I think online is ideal for people like us, with mental issues and all. When I tried to go back to a state school @ 23, I already felt too old and out of place...it was sort of like High School, Part II. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck! Math isn't so hard, really. Liberty has a math class just for liberal arts majors, which I'm excited about. I just bought books yesterday...so expen$ive! Ugh.

You'll do well.

I returned to Uni as a mature aged student ( mature in age only :biggrin ) and the basic rule of thumb was each subject would require a minimum of 10 hours work/week ( contact + non-contact ) to do reasonably well. I found I needed to do ~ 20 hours/subject/week and still didn't fully understand the material because there was way too much to take in for me. A mile wide and inch deep for me unfortunately.

Oh that sounded very negative and it isn't the same for everyone Angel. It will definitely help if you enjoy the subjects though.

only during summer did I do that. it wasn't that hard then for me as I was working only one job and then going to school after work.

My experience is from more than 40 years ago, about 35 years ago for graduate school, but I don't think has changed much. I used to spend about 3 hours a week for each credit hour of the course. 9 hours a week for a 3 credit course.
