Funniest (and true) Creed of atheists and New Agers !

Comparing atheist and new agers is like comparing Christians with Rastafarians. If you lump them together, you get statements that applies to neither.

I think you are not very informed about New Agars,
New Agers believe in spiritual Evolution that they can evolve and became a god.
They are existentialists like an atheist and believe in no absolute morals (truths) rather they substitute mystic experiences to hide their immorality; you can be immoral and do yoga so that your immorality will not be counted

The Post script of the Creed is...

"If Chance be the the father of all flesh, disaster is his rainbow in the sky. And when you hear 'Sniper Kills Ten,' 'Youths Go Looting,' 'Bomb Blasts School,' it is but the sound of man worshipping his maker." - Steve Turner

I have dated New Agers and have one living with me now. Their beliefs vary and they borrow heavily from all religions around them. However, the core beliefs are at opposition.

They believe in mystical powers and spiritual existance while atheists do not. In my book, that places New Agers closer to Christianity than to atheism.

For one, it is not my wife, but another woman that lives with us that is into the New Age stuff.

For another, atheism rejects the fundamental belief of New Agers.

We believe in Marxfreud and darwin.

I for one take issue with this. I think Marx is silly and Freud is outdated.

We believe in sex before during
and after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun.
We believe that sodomy's OK
We believe that taboos are taboo.

Wouldn't Christians on this forum be upset if we stereotyped them all this way? There are diverse opinions among atheists regarding these and other practices. Much depends on your own personal philosophy and how you were raised.

I have gotten scolded before, abotu my generalizations about all christians, and how a few ripe ones, ruin the bunch.

hypocricy, hypocricy o where is there a haven from your wretched ways.

:biglol:biglol:biglol

That is screamingly funny.

Thank you SO much. A definate keeper.

Regardless of the nitpicking in an attempt at self-justification by the dissenters.

Very true. In general. Very true.

Nice shotgun approach. Unfortunately most of your shot missed the target. Such is the danger of stereotyping people.

Oh baby, don't you wish.

And your attempt to protect atheists and new agers in general by claiming those sterotypes don't apply to you (therefore 'them' by association) doesn't mean squat. 'Thinker' man.

How about honestly looking for the truth rather then just 'thinking' up excuses for avoiding it. I respect atheists and new agers who actually do that. (I think most people do.)
